Vauban is considered weak not because he doesn't have powerful CC in the current state of the game but because all he does is CC. There's a massive shift in design principle from Early Warframe, where most Warframes were one-trick ponies who often had only a handful of really good powers which made the Warframe entirely, and Current Warframe, where good Warframes are versatile and capable of handling most content because they have a variety of possible uses and builds. Vauban is probably the pinnacle of early Warframe design, in that he does one job really really well and does so largely entirely because of a handful of powers. That's why people consider him weak-because he has 2.5 largely useless powers.

Also, raids became "braindead easy" largely because they aren't actually challenging content in either the twitch-reflexes or cerebral problem-solving departments. They're built upon rote memorization of puzzle mechanics, often with limited explanation of what said puzzle mechanics are, and thus as soon as you memorize what you need to do they become pretty trivial.

You basically hit the nail on the head in what is wrong with raids and Vauban both.

  2. So to make it brief, the Lotus transmission window just appeared when I checked on my inbox. The little window of her has her saying no lines, though it is animated and not going away. Due to the context of the current condition of the Lotus, I am finding this haunting and adequate a creepypasta. Though I assume it is just a bug and thought I should post it here.

Please help its like a haunted memory.

  3. Honestly I cannot really compare Oberon or Harrow since they support in different ways.

With Oberon you can "passively" support with renewal augment and give them the armor buff and move on to focus on the mission at hand. He also has smite infusion to augment the damage output of your own team with one of the better elements (radiation).

Harrow needs to be much more active and aggressive to support, requiring to do damage to heal and to kill for energy. That means if a team is too killy it will severely hamper his own support, though when the team is getting overwhelmed (like those kill zones in max level Plains where people get KOed a lot) Harrow tends to become much stronger support.

One other thing to note is that Oberon is not JUST support and has much more CC/area control potential than Harrow (whose 1 is admittingly still a good CC). Oberon makes up for any weaknesses with being able to do entirely different roles WHILE also supporting.

In the end though, I love both of them.

  4. To this day I wish I can just make every mission at the level of Sorties. Maybe with even more modifiers on top just to add more strain to the player. Then our extremely strong meta load-outs can be justified in a game that is generally quite easy.

  5. Ah yes, the "good old days" that was the never ending hell called Void missions. Where almost every one of my old comrades quit because of the sheer boredom of a faction compromised of recolors and annoying force composition was the only thing that mattered for end game since it was where the prime parts only dropped. So that every other level that was newly introduced was quickly abandoned by the player base within short time due to the simple fact they did not drop prime parts.

Yes, those good old days. I remember them quite fondly.

  6. Though I usually only see Maim-using Equinoxes, I have seen others that made use of the sleep powers and found them to be quite a boon. Though I guess heshe can use some sort of QoL fixes like most frames need.

  7. I have the exact same problem, my friends are still scratching their heads since this bug doesn't seem to be all too common.

Edit: Found my own culprit. It was a polarity filter still in place that prevented it from being viewed.

  8. The reason why Corpus got nullies in the first place is cause they are the most squishy of the factions. Before Nullies, they were the go-to farming faction because you can just keep obliterating endless numbers of them. The other factions with their high armor (Grineer) and many buffs and debuffs (Infested) do not need them. Plus, its kind of cool keeping all the factions distinct from each other... Ya know? Don't want to just be fighting reskins with different names.

  9. Oh no, something that is an actual threat. Yes, let's go back to the boring crewmen and MOAs and repeat the same kind of battles over and over again to slake our addiction to gambling.

    -1 to OP.
