  1. I have played Excalibur and Ash a while now and I have some suggestions.

First I have to say, that I totally agreee with the opinions in this thread, stating that the costs are not justified or the skills are just plain "useless".

Thus, I came up with a few ideas and trying to implement them in my play, saying "Skill X would be very useful in this situation." Here are my suggestions based on the number of sayings of the former.

    Excalibur:

Skill 1: Can stay like that. It is very strong but nerfing it should'nt be necessary.

Skill 2: Could use a rework in the sense of game mechanics. It isn't effective enough. Make it hit really everything and increase radius. Oh-S#&$-Button for when you have overextended.

Skill 3: Replace the Super Jump with Blur. Blur has the effect of making Excalibur evasive as a flippin space ninja. Say: He has a high chance of dodging incoming attacks, both bullets and melee. No explosions. This is nice for getting into melee-range or surviving tough situations. I mean, Excalibur is meant to be a beginner-warframe, right?

    Ash:

Skill 1: Damage is okay, but the speed should be slightly increased. Nothing is more frustrating that missing a long-range Shuriken because that mofo decided to randomly leave for coffee.

Skill 2: As stated above it doesn't work on every enemy, needs to be changed. Also: Increase the effectiveness and duration of the stealth and make the smoke linger, hindering sight of enemies. Either enemies don't shoot through the smoke, try to circle around it or fire at random.

Skill 3: Add some AoE (as stated by Jogiku) or bonus damage or something else. 75 energy is way too much for a simple and potentially dangerous teleport.

The changes are with the thought of not changing energy costs. If we start with that, EVERY skill in the game has to be reworked.

    What do you guys think?

  2. Hiho,

I've got a question regarding the founders program. Or say, regarding the launch of the game.

As far as I could extract it from the metainfo in various forum posts, the game will be reset on launch and does so occasionally throughout the beta.

Will the Platinum-points we achieved through the founders program be reset to the starting-value on that event?

    Hail to the king, baby!

  3. Thanks for the compliments, guys. I was a little concerned people would not like the little story since I myself was a little disappointed about how it turned out. I intended the short sentences to transmit a feeling of step-by-step discovery but to me it feels like I just transmitted the feeling that the author can't write worth S#&$ :) Anyway, glad you like it.

The Exceeded my expecations for an intro.

    Badum-Tsss ;)

  4. I hereby revive this thread!

I am having some issues with the Excalibur vs Ash, too.

I don't really feel like stealth is anywhere near necessary. Or encouraged. Or possible.

I think if you exchange teleport with some sort of "permanent" invisibility that slowly drains your energy and gives you bonus melee damage on how long you stayed invisible, it would be a far more successful stealth play. One could easily go around enemy groups and take out key targets.

Shuriken could use a little buff in range and aiming, too. Or a rework in somethink like a stun-dart or something like that.

I'll like into the matter deeper.

  5. Okay, it seems I broke something.

When i checked my warframe it was gone. Just gone. I tried to relogg and this happened:

    <removed>

Seems like my warframe got sorta duplicated and when I sold one of them, I kinda sold both.

Now I have no warframe at all :D

  6. Hello there,

I just had the problem that I had 2 Volt-Frames in my inventory, one rank 7 and one rank 8 and I wanted to sell one.

Since the inventory doesn't show you the level of the items or anything, I sold the wrong one. No big deal since it is only one level but this could easily get frustrating.

If the inventory did show the level of items or anything other that one can identify them with, that would be very helpful. No, wait. It is necessary. Really.

I hope this issue hasn't been adressed before. If so, I am truly sorry to have started another thread on the matter.

    Greetz.

  7. It is dark. I can't hear a thing, only a subtle humming. A vibration coming from seemingly everywhere. I can't move. It is cold. My body aches everywhere. Something snuggles against my body like a second hide. It is everywhere around my body.

    I remember a conversation.

Someone with long hair tells me about a "cool new game" that seems to be in some sort of "beta".

I remember visiting a website. I also remember doing research on said game and trying to get a "key".

I hear a hissing sound, like air streaming out of a vent. It gets a little cooler.

I try to move my eyes. I can't figure out if they are opened or closed, it is still pitch-black.

A lot later. The other person tells me there is some sort of "founder"-thing going on.

A cascade of beeping-sounds reaches my ears. I hear the rambling of machines. The darkness that is my world shudders. I feel the gravitational pull of being moved. It gets warmer by the second. The vague feelings I had on my skin get more distinct. It feels like waking up. With a lot more pain to it.

I achieved some sort of "founder-status". I am downloading something.

    "Unfreezing-sequence initiated. Commencing protocol T-14354/09."

Again that hissing sound. Only louder. I get the feeling I can soon start to move. I gets reasonalby warm inside my darkness. And brighter. I can make out shades of diffusing colours.

I finished the download. I get kinda excited and I log in.

Blinding brightness forces me to press my eyelids shut as something in front of me gets moved away.

Suddenly I get a strong push in my back and I topple over into the brightness.

"Unfreezing completed. Protocol has been executed. Welcome back."

By body burns. It hurts. I can't see a thing.

"Where...", I manage to stutter out into the brightness.

"You are located on a hidden space station not far away from Mercury. It is time you come to your senses."

Something stings me in the crook of my left arm. At the same time the brightness seems to take on different colors and moves a lot more. I realize I am still pressing my eyes shut.

As I open my eyes I recognize I can now clearly see. The first thing I acknowledge is the floor I am facing. After which I quickly manage to notice I am lying face down on the floor. As I try to stand up, I become aware of my body. The burning has subsided and I feel strong now. I quickly work myself up on my feet and muster my surroundings. I am standing in a sterile, almost empty room of polished steel. The only interesting thing is the cryo-capsule behind me. So that's why it was so cold. Heh.

A HUD comes into my field of view. I hear the voice from before.

"So then, Tenno. Shall we begin your training?"

    Greetings!

I hope you enjoyed reading the little story I substituted for the "how did I learn about this game"-part.

I am an IT-specialist from germany and I enjoy RPGs, FPS, strategy and MOBA games. My hobbies are playing mentioned games, watching movies and TV-series, reading books and chilling on my sofa.

I hope we all have a lot of fun together. I only joined recently but I am already enjoying this game a lot and I think it has great potential.

Sorry, being a little lazy with details now. It is very late at night here.

    Hail to the king, baby!
