I am experiencing this issue as well.
-
Hopefully these issues get looked into soon and DE will apply a fix to the broken range issues as well.
Some weapons are borderline useless at the moment (Boltace being a noteworthy example).
-
This would be very welcome.
I gave a puppy a name before knowing it would become the biggest bulky kubrow I've ever seen.
I would have enjoyed being able to name it ironically instead of it getting the mostly generic name I gave it.

there is a BIG difference in camping one spot, actually shooting your guns while enemies approach you and pressing nothing other than 1 button for the whole match and see everything diying in your line of sight, i want to play a shooter, not a bloody tower defense.
the problem is not about GP, it's about mesa's ult, and it will be surely fixed cause right now it's a cheap shortcut to play endless missions
But this game isn't just a shooter.

Mods being necessary for increasing damage (Serration, multi-shots, etc) stimulates the game economy wherein someone can decide to max out a mod and sell it to another player not willing to take the time to do it.
Plus to add all those mods in, you need to forma the weapon. That implies a tradeoff: being forced to re-level the weapon from scratch.
Because of these limitations and player obligations (and possible Platinum investment for some and possible Platinum gain for others), I don't believe the game in its current state needs to worry about balancing things out too much and propose that most things in their present state are acceptable and contribute to the style and genre of the game in a way that doesn't extremely inconveniences the player nor does it give the player a peerless advantage where weapon and Warframe loadouts are concerned.
That's my take on balance.

After years of playing MMORPGs, I can say I love the Trade chat system way more than Trading Post/Auction House systems.
When you want to buy, you find a seller pretty quickly.
Granted, it doesn't make for a convenient system that allows sellers to just dump everything off to the uninformed or to saturate the market entirely.
Since Platinum is for the most part a currency representing a portion of real money investment (170 platinum being worth roughly $10), I don't think I'd be buying Platinum on a semi-regular basis if my purchase were to be subject to the vagaries of an automated system or the caprice of flat player-set rates.
In the current system, I can negotiate the price of an item and then decide if it's worth my money or not.

As several people mentioned already, Nyx is fine. Granted Psychic Bolts need a buff but all the other abilities are excellent.
They do each require their own build to be used effectively and the fact that not all her abilities can perform stellarly in a single build is much more indicative of a well thought out frame rather than something necessitating a general buff.
She's my go-to frame for the hardest solo stuff in the game and for long, long survivals and defense.
-
Yes, and pre-buff Rakta Ballistica is super okay because it has Blight proc right?
No, just no. They ignored the darn thing for 6 months because of that, please don't make the same mistake again.
I'm sorry you consider mini-chaos to be lacking.
The Secura Dual Cestra are very useful when control is desired over damage due to the proc. It's a very good sidearm to complement a hard-hitting primary.
I'm not against a sensible buff, but I genuinely don't get the upset over its damage being lower than other Syndicate weapons.
-
I agree that the weapon which gives consistant Radiation procs and shield restore is in dire need of a buff.
*wink*wink*
-
Best solution:
don't waste resources maxing out weapons if your intent is to max out That Super Awesome Thing That Will Be Awesome Forever since the odds of it existing in the foreseeable future are next to nil.
Or
Max only the things you are most comfortable/perform best/need for your current content/some dude told you to get with.
Yes, that last one is a bit suspicious.
-
Awesome!
With the many sudden slowdowns I've been experiencing today, I now know what it's like to game on a low end 32bit client!
I need to turn in my gaming computer and get me one of those swaggy toasters this optimization is meant for.
Thanks DE!

In late-game (T4 Surv and Def) and even in Derelict and the later Star Map content, no ability in the game, to my knowledge, surpasses the effectiveness of top tier, well-modded weapons so far as killing power is concerned.
As far as control abilities go, they perform as they ought and permit adequate CC where and when necessary.
-
i can solo 1 hour+ t4s with valkyr without even trying, does that feel balanced to you? you can make a build for warcry AND hysteria easily, invincibility needs to go.
valk its not "fine", trinity its def not fine, gpull, peacemaker, irradiating, all those abilities need changes to keep balance, and that is way more important than personal opinion
My opinion differs and proposes the idea that "balance" doesn't need to mean bringing things down to the lowest common denominator.
Balance the way you propose it does nothing to improve upon anything and infers more detriment than any gain to the game.
Edit: clarity
-
Some people want to parkour all over the map, dodge and cover, and shoot enemies with their guns. Guts and glory types, and it's all good.
Some people want to crunch numbers (literally or figuratively), figure out the most optimal or efficient loadout and squad configuration to "solve' the difficulty of a certain map or mission type.
The former might find the latter's chosen playstyle as being boring or lazy.
The latter might find the former's chosen playstyle obtuse and inefficient.
The game allows for both approaches (and anything in between) to be viable as well as it does other takes on gameplay.
Issues and disagreements on the current state of the game seem to come from some kind of frustration over people doing things differently and achieving success.
-
I vote we change everything I don't like.
Clearly, my point of view is superior and those who disagree are delusional.
Sadly, the above is the most common argument for change in these forums.
Feedback should provide gameplay examples, fewer broad strokes, and alternatives which take into consideration the entire toolkit and compare it against what is advantageous and what is disadvantageous in the item being singled out for change.
Flatly demanding change due to personal disagreement isn't constructive nor conductive of improvement. In fact, it only serves to highlight that personal dissatisfaction or frustration are at the core of the issue and not necessarily indicative of a real need for change with actual betterment of the game in mind.

I got an Orokin Cell from him two or so weeks ago.
-
Thanks you for the fixes!

^^^^This.... applies to all whips.
Ugh.
And I was just starting to have fun with the Lecta.
Whips are utterly unusuable at the moment.

I'm continuously perplexed by requests to nerf anything in this game.
Balance and parity are fine and dandy notions, but are not necessary in a game wherein the main PvE focus is cooperation within which individual style, loadout and preference do not give a definite edge over when and how enemies are put into the player's crosshair. Where PvP is concerned, things are being tweaked and balanced hitherto justly (and promptly) for the most part.
I must confess I don't exactly understand where the issue stems from or even what the issue is.
-
I'm interested in knowing the reasoning behind your ideas.
-
I'm not certain I understand the issue.
A Frame does a thing, that thing upsets you in some way.
Nekros spamming Desecrate upsets me.
It has no peer.
Nerf Nekros.
Why focus on damage so much?
A damage ability should damage.
If people build their Frame for it, forma for it, I would think it ought to do what it's meant to do.
A five forma Torid does its thing, a six forma Ogris does its thing.
I propose that if one is willing to forma and re-level a Frame, it ought to perform as expected.
There is no DPS race, no leaderboards or accomplishment that would slant things towards The Player With The Thing That Does The Thing.
There is no content to be sat from because of it.
So.... I'm at a loss as to what the issue is, other than you not liking something.
-
I... Kinda think they do it on purpose in that they do not necessarily want/need to create new weapons based on how it's going to be formaed, optimized, and made broken until the community cries out for a nerf (I jest (slightly)).
-
Corrosive damage.
You're welcome.
-
Enemy Ignis seems to have a near-infinite range. I get shot from clear across the map.
Edit: This appears to occur when the Flamer unit is already engaged in combat against Kubrow.
Loki Hushed Invisibility
in General
Posted
Ever since the last hotfix, enemies have been suspiciously aware of my Loki's whereabouts even when using a silent weapon Primary -and- Hushed Invisibility.
In fact, when I move, they'll creep towards me for a second or two as if preternaturally aware of my location while invisible.
