  1. Suggested Revenant fixes version 2.0

    Enthrall:

    Enthralled targets can only be damaged by Revenant or enemies, not team members. Might be annoying for defence but anyone whose played defence with a nidus will know that a good frame can still be annoying.

    Mesmer skin:

    scrap the charge system and make it a duration ability that gives Revenant a percentage of his current thralls dominant defensive aspect 

    (probably a base 10% of thralls stats for scaling into end game and maybe affected by power strength)

    Health from infested thralls

    Armor from Grineer

    Shields from Corpus

    Balanced Mix for Orokin

    Adaptive Damage reduction if you manage to Thrall the occasional sentient.

    Reave:

    Similar action to Inaros scarab swarm except instead of converting health to armor, reave converts thralls health into his own health and shields, although he is vulnerable during this period.

    Dance Macabre:

    Replacing this with literally anything would be preferable than this boring ability but my suggestion would be this:

    Lua’s Descent:

    Call forth the mystifying power of the Moon and bestow power upon Revenant and allies 

    Thralls, Revenant and allies all receive the modifying damage ability to their weapons that damage Macabre had aswell as a glory sentient decal on their weapons for the duration to show that it’s actually happening.

    Passive:

    Current Passive May make more sense if you get rid of the charge system but I would also suggest that as an additional Passive that would actually aid the lore. this would be that while Revenant is equipped, both he and his operator do 27% bonus damage to eidolons and sentients (the same bonus you’d get from an amp aura if that kind of thing existed)

    This might all be op but I atleast think it ties his kit together with the Thrall mechanic as the base of his synergies, which I hope people will recognise is what would be preferable to play with instead of just casting 2 and 4 over and over again until enemies outscale you or you get bored to tears

  2. This thread actually feels pretty pointless. The alterations they’re going to make are that reaving through allies with Mesmer skin active will give them an as yet un named buff. So a frame that was only really viable in solo is now getting a synergy that will only function if his terrible defensive is active while he goes through allies who will justifiably never stay still in a fast paced ninja mobility game and will probably have just killed your thralls a second after you made them. Asking for a lot of goodwill from players DE.

    Also how do his powers relate to any of the lore he has?

    He was infected with sentient tech after fighting a tentacle eidolon alone for presumably centuries and none of his kit is even remotely helpful against eidolons.

    Ps. I use zenurik mixed with 207% duration, 130% efficiency, a maxed prime flow and the Rakta dark dagger. With all this, I barely noticed the increase in his 4 cost, but the energy isn’t the problem. The problem is that it’s a terrible boring ability that people have described me as the ‘New Limbo Eye Cancer’. Changing the cost was like putting a band aid on a fractured skull.

    Never thought I’d say this but  even Nezha’s abilities (Rework looks good for trap frame) were never so fundamentally flawed and lacking in fun as this new frame.

  3. Reworked Revenant Suggestions

     

    Enthrall- Duration/Strength/Range Based Control 

    Enthralls a single target who then spreads the Enthrall effect to other enemies through damage.

    When Enthralled enemy dies, a spectre is summoned, similar to Vomvalyst. This spectre remains stationary and is immune to damage. Spectres attack enemy units with ranged lasers every few seconds until the timer runs out.

    Spectres remain for half the time enthralled do, so at most if they die directly after becoming enthralled they remain as a spectre for half the time.

    Spectres cannot enthrall through damage.

    Strength Mods affect Spectre Damage 

    Range Mods affect spectre and Thrall attack range

     

    Mesmer Skin- Duration based Defensive 

    For the duration of the ability, any enemies that hit Revenant are put to sleep and can be enthralled for free while Revenant takes no damage. Costs 5 energy per attack 

    Recastable to replenish timer while still active.

    Recasting this ability enthralls all enemies affected by the sleep effect.

    Duration Mods Affect sleep effect

    Efficiency Mods affect negation cost.

     

    Reave- Duration/Strength based Self survivability Buff

    Gain a lifesteal effect on all damage dealt by Revenant and his thralls/spectres, restoring health to Revenant.

    Strength Mods affect Lifesteal %

     

    Dance Macabre- Duration/Strength/Range based dps ability 

    Convert all enthralled enemies to spectres- spectres remain for the duration of this ability but are destroyed at the end. 

    Spectres are super charged and release a continual stream of laser energy attacks that adapt damage type to enemy type. Their attacks can be focussed on a single target by pressing 4 while aiming at the specific enemy the Revenant wishes them to focus on. Otherwise they focus on enemies closest to them and then moving outwards. 

    When the ability ends, spectres are destroyed and converted into shields and over shields for Revenant. Synergises with 1,2 and 3 abilities

    Duration Mods affect Duration

    Strength Mods affect spectre damage and shield/over shield conversion

    Range Mods affect Spectre attack range 

     

    Retaliation Passive- 

    When Shields are depleted, Revenant releases an irradiating burst that afflicts enemy units around the Revenant as well as smaller radiation bursts from any thralls/spectres. 5 energy is restored to Revenant for each enemy hit by this.

    Potentially size of irradiating burst affected by Range Mods and Strength mods increase energy restored
