  1. So if you're like me, you run them mobile defenses for that delicious XP. Also, like me, you'll often find yourself in P.U.Gs. (pick up groups) where one of your fellow Tenno may give not two sh*ts about shared XP and fighting in close proximity to you and all he wants is to pew-pew and get kills. So you're politely like, "Um, hey guys let's all stay close to the terminal so we get more spawns and shared XP, (smiley-face)"  and he, of course, charges out into the hallway solo, like a drunk William Wallace from the future, and starts wreaking havoc out there. Meanwhile you're left with your junk in your hands, guarding the terminal like the honorable mother-rukker you are, while that #$&(% robs you of that sweet sweet mastery.

That's the kind of stuff that makes me want to punt baby seals into active volcanoes... filled with dynamite.

Luckily for active volcanoes (and my ever dwindling supply of live dynamite,) a fellow frustrated Tenno (who wishes to remain anonymous) devised a trollish, if not ingenious way of sticking it to those selfish, kill-hungry, can't-stay-in-the-COT-D**N-TERMINAL-ROOM chumps. And now YOU CAN TOO!

    Step 1:
Get yourself a Nova or Mag, maybe Saryn or Ember will do in a pinch.

    Step 2:
Join your favorite mobile defense XP farm.

    Step 3:
If a jerkwad is present, inform the offending jerkwad that if he/she does not fight in the terminal room that you will follow them for the entirety of the mission and SPAM THE CRAP out of Molecular Prime (Pull, Miasma.etc)

    Step 4 (a):
Watch said jerkwad fall in line.
    4 (b):
If said jerkwad does not fall in line carry out promise made in Step 3 and repeat Step 4(a)

    Step 5:
Savor sweet victory and sweet sweet XP.

NB. If your the kind of jerk who spams ults all the time anyways, this technique probably won't work for you.

Now go out there and get that XP!

    Sincerely,

  2. Can we have Vortex affect the Vauban who casted it?

  3. Vauban still rocks but I think these days I play Rhino more (Ironskin + rhino stomp = EZ mode). And with the Vanguard helm and max continuity and constitution for rhino charge, he's now almost on par with ash and/or loki for speed runs.  Also Saryn is tons of fun to play as well.

  4. Look, I understand the nerfing of Bastille, (even though it's Vauban's only really useful move) but I think changing vortex so it doesn't affect Tenno is a BAD IDEA.

Very often I Bounce into a Vortex I've thrown on the ceiling to clear gaps and stuff. Vortex right now totally adds a level of fun and diversity to the Vauban playstyle.

Or maybe I'm just a space cop who likes to fly around on his floaty orbs every once in a while. I dunno.

  6. Can we get confirmation that we're actually the good guys? Tyl Regor, in his current form, is geeky kid trying to save the world. If he succeeds, grineer wouldn't be psychopaths anymore. Yet, we're ordered to kill him to stop him.

More, he isn't even violent: His worst in-game taunt is something about adding bullet holes to our suits for ventilation. He carries a sword, so he clearly has no idea what "bullet holes" even are.

It's highly unethical to kill Tyl Regor in his current form. Will he get more evil on his remake(like, say, some kind of Nazi eugenics freak), or is this an intentional peek at the idea that we aren't the heroes that Lotus has been telling us we are?

Damn it. I totally wanted an answer to MY question... until I read this question.

  7. Hey, DERebecca and the rest of the DE gang. Longtime listener, first time caller:

    1. What are your fastest times on the obstacle course... on the Rhino...unmodded...with the THRAKK helmet?

    2. If you had to pick ONE Warframe to protect you from loan-sharks coming to break your kneecaps, who would you choose and why?

    3. Is the Nova supposed to look like a semi-abstract painting of a slightly pregnant, Japanese schoolgirl or was that just a coincidence?

    4. What's up with the Rhino's massive armored codpiece?

  8. Also, there are times when the VPD can't officially be on the scene and we need quiet teams to work undercover and in the shadows. Though not officially recognized by the Vauban Police, have no official police powers and are for the most part, not Vauban, they operate outside of the law and off the books on the side of the VPD.

Presenting: the Tenno Black Ops Unit:

Also, Katsura-dono I really like your idea for a Trinity team. It actually crossed my mind in the past.

Maybe you should head up an Emergency Medical Trinity Unit (EMT Unit) and be Chief of Surgery.

  11. So ever since the dev's introduced the Vasto, I like to run around on my Vauban and pretend to be a Space Cop.

I write fool Tenno tickets for leaving my slow &#! behind because all the space doughnuts i eat have an adverse effect on my run speed, I arrest fool Grenieer mobs with Bastille and check to see if they're holding any contraband, (usually it's illegal ammo and energy orbs), and I generally just patrol the galaxy and keep peace.

I figured, I should not be selfish. I should share this experience with my fellow Vauban Tenno. Come join the ranks of the Vauban P.D. It;s simple.

All you have to do is equip the color scheme: blue primary, black secondary, white tint 3, red tint 4, energy yellow (so your Bastille looks like laser caution tape.)
Equip a law enforcement looking secondary weapon. Official standard issue is the Vasto or Lex.
And to make everything super official, equip your Sling Stone emblem.

If you don't have everything equipped like that, you're not doing it right. Make sure your fellow Vauban Officer is always in correct Uniform.

    Welcome to the Vauban P.D.

    Keep the galaxy safe.

  12. So ever since the devs introduced the Vasto, sometimes I like to run around on my Vauban and pretend to be a space cop. I'm a 26 year old who likes to run around in a third person shooter and pretend he's police....

    Don't judge. Bear with me.

I play my Vauban with the standard helmet, in blue and red colours and with the Vasto at his hip and he looks like a cop from the future. I even made his energy bright yellow so it looks like laser caution tape. To hell with FPS! And Lastly, the Sling Stone emblem on the shoulder, totally seals the deal. If the dev's could make a badge emblem and put it on the market, that would definitely sell.

But let's take it one step further. What if the badge wasn't some cheap gimmick in the market, but and unlockable!

What if, in order to unlock the badge, you had to own the right colour palettes and weaponry?

    The concept is this:

The badge is VAUBAN SPECIFIC. (Don't worry, I have you other warframes covered later)

The standard Issue Vauban P.D. is blue primary, black secondary, white tint colour 3, red tint colour 4. and yellow energy.) The colours are not standard, but come from various platinum colour packs.
(Eg. The blue is a specific one from the ice colour pack and the red from fire, white from classic saturated, etc.)

The player can use any primary and melee weapon, but the side arm HAS to be either a custom Vauban P.D.  Vasto or Lex. (The side arm has to look very law enforcement.)
They are a reskin of the original weapons and the blue prints drop in either the void or randomly across the systems. They are PURELY COSMETIC, cost the same mats to build and have no bonus except for rarity. This is to avoid the pay to win scenario the devs have successfully managed to stay away from.

There is also a standard issue Vauban P.D, helmet that also has to be found in the void or randomly across the system.

Once the helmet, sidearm and right colours are equipped, the badge is available to be worn on the left shoulder, just like the sling stone emblem. (you can still equip your guild emblem in uniform.)

There is also a ranking system:

    Commissioner (Chief of Police)
    Deputy Commissioner (Deputy Chief)
    Colonel
    Major,
    Captain
    Lieutenant
    Sergeant
    Detective
    Officer

The first person to unlock all the components receives the rank of Commissioner, the second, Deputy, then the next 11, Colonel then the next 30 major, and the number of players increases at a set amount for each subsequent rank until Officers which are unlimited, given it being the last rank.

Each unlocked wearable police badge emblem  also reflects each rank. So the Commissioner has a one of a kind, super flashy custom emblem, the Deputy has a less flashy but also unique emblem and so on for each rank.
Once the badge is unlocked, it can be worn at any time EXCEPT for officers, who can only wear the emblem when in FULL Vauban Police Department uniform (correct colours, sidearm, helmet)

    BOOM! Vauban P.D.

This concept actually encourages the purchase of colour palettes as it gives them a way to unlock more Warframe awesomness if only just more cosmetic awesomeness.
And it can apply to any Warframe model!
    Think about it!

    F.D. Frost! (Fire Department)
    Dr. Trinity!
MAD SCIENTIST NOVA!( with a custom colored seer pistol!)
    Loki the Magician!
    Messenger Volt (with custom Fangs!)
    Ember Pyrotechnicians!
Special Ops. Ash (with custom Twin Vipers)

Maybe unlocking these specifications can unlock cosmetic changes to certain Warframe abilities as well, so the word "CAUTION" actually circles around Bastille, or the Ember shoots fireworks when she uses Fireball.
There are so many possibilities to work with.

So, I hope one of the devs reads this and takes it seriously, and if they do use this concept,...

I have to be the Commissioner.

Best_Tiger: Vauban Chief of Police, I like the sound of that.
