  1. The way the game is set up now, for a character to be a "Tank", they need to be:

    A) Playing a mission where all the team members are nearby at all times

    B) Playing a mission where the amount of damage caused by enemies is enough to be a serious danger for teammates

    C) Having way more health/shields/armor than other players.

Really, a Tank character needs to be incredibly strong to actually be viable (in theory). When playing with a good team, every player will be able to cause/take a ton of damage; it's a little weird to say, but an Aggro-drawing Tank usually isn't necessary in this game. It's nice to have a teammate draw aggro when you're in a tight spot, but it's not like high-level characters need that type of character.

From what I've experienced, CC characters (Rhino Stomp and Loki Disarm, for instance) are immeasurably more useful than some aggro-drawing frame, especially in high level combat.

  2. Like...a Gift Pack that would add platinum/credits to your account? Did you purchase through Steam (or similar service)?

Your best bet is submitting a support ticket (you can find the link at the veeeery bottom of the page here, labelled "support").

  3. I only have one problem with the game, and that's the new PvP Dark Sectors. I loved the idea of it when they announced it; I was intrigued by the concept/WIP art they displayed over various livestreams; I'm vastly disappointed by it right now. Speaking short, the Dark Sectors need a lot of work...they're not that fun to me, especially getting dominated by opponents with better gear and abilities 2 minutes after joining a fight.

  4. My current hype-train: "Update 14.1: More huge hotfixes"

Currently praying that DE just focuses on fixing bugs and polishing content in one huge update, instead of introducing more content. It's a weird feeling, but I'm not gonna feel bad about wanting the current system fixed...regardless of how many bugs they've squashed so far.

  5. I hate the fact that rushed half-arsed bug-ridden content is being sold in a game that is seemingly beta.

What would've been fair instead? I could suggest letting us test and try the damn thing, help you get it fixed and make it proper, then maybe ask people to pay and gamble their money away at colour scramblers and bundles.

There's a reason why so many people passionately hate PWE and similar companies, don't do the same mistakes out of sheer greed.

Alright so 1) What bug-ridden content is being exclusively sold right now? Everything you need from Kubrows can be found in game, minus the totally optional Scrambler (which was taken out due to feedback, which worked exactly as intended, whose only bug was the color bug affecting all items in the game). Heck, the only bug-ridden content being exclusively sold were colors and color pallets, and that problem didn't start in Update 14.

    2) I'm not sure if many players know this, but we are testing and trying everything. Our feedback is essential for DE's progression in developing Warframe, and the fact that "Beta" is attached permanently to Warframe's title is an indication that, indeed, we are all guinea pigs of sorts.

3, and most importantly) Everything greedy that is involved with Kubrows has come exclusively from DE. PWE, no matter how much people speculate in their little internet corners, has absolutely no say in what is happening in the game. If you're looking for someone to call greedy, don't point fingers at rumors.

  6. I don't feel like players should get these items, since the Dex Furis was out for an entire week before being locked back into the vault. If a player was actively playing the game for a whole year, they were rewarded for the anniversary celebration with the weapon. Putting it back into the game feels...stupid, basically, since it was meant to celebrate the first year of Warframe's open beta.

It's fine for people to take a break from this game (hell, I'd recommend it; even though I missed three or four events when I took a months-long break, I felt refreshed enough to play up until now), but they've gotta accept that they'll miss out on things.

  7. So, I got my buddy to download the PC version tonight, and since I'm only slightly ahead of the curve than he is, I went ahead and also downloaded the PC version to help walk him through it.  I'm not all that great at shooters to begin with, even less so with a KB/mouse, but even so managed to do the first couple of missions with him.

I think he's hooked.  He's already planning what he wants for his next warframe/weapons/etc.  Mission: Accomplished.  Now depending how soon the "bridge" goes in, we should be good to go. :)

Oy, oy, Tim! If you were ever interested in playing PC version, I'd suggest looking into purchasing an Xbox 360 controller to play with on PC. I've been using one up until recently (as in, the past 72 hours recently), and I've gotta say, I'm a lot better at games with it than with a kb/mouse. If your friend tries to seriously convince you to play PC games, try picking one up! I've seen some good ones going for about $20-25!

  8. I haven't seen anything like this on the forums or Reddit, so I'd like to make this known:

    YQunYgQ.jpg

Kubrow eggs drop with the Rare Beacon visual effect.

I farmed 50 runs on E-Prime and ended buying an egg off of the market, just to keep my sanity with this game.

If I had known this, I wouldn't have been so let down every run...(though this may be an addition from the hotfixes, it helps immensely).

  9. Yeah, not only are there varying body types, but height differences as well (although some height changes might be model bugs?). Someone on the forums was talking about how his Sunika was up to his Frost's height...mine is up to my Frost's waist at most.
