  1. I made a thing! But... the paint chipped and I couldnt fix it no matter how hard I tried...

    wf_crate_2_by_shadowclaw17-d93fs21.png

I'd posted this elsewhere in the Forums, but it didn't look as good at that time.

EDIT: Made out of pure ceramic; the top's based off of Dethcube a bit, but the sides are Ash's abilities.

  2. I use the Kronen all the time, one of my favorite anti-infested weapons. Once you get that stance down you're just a whirling bladeball of death. hopefully. Unless you're doing something wrong.

And as far as daggers go, the Karyst is pretty good but... well, it wont last in the long run. Too little range for too little damage.

  3. The damage of elemental mods is derived from the total sum of all of it's base damage types.

Take a standard Braton, for example. It's base damage is 6.6 Impact, 6.6 Puncture, and 6.8 Slash damage. If you put an elemental mod on it, it will add all 3 of those up (to 20 damage) then add on 45% of the total, giving it 9 heat damage extra.

On weapons with elements already infused, I believe it just simply adds those numbers in as well.

As far as best elemental combos, that depends on what you're fighting or where you're taking the weapon. For example Radiation works wonders versus Grineer, but not so much on Corpus. On that same note, Magnetic wrecks Corpus, but does almost nothing at all to infested. Also, this can get HIGHLY opinionated.

Personally, I use Radiation and Viral as my all-around elemental damage. Works for just about everything, and what it doesn't kill gets crowd controlled.

  4. So, back when I was taking my ceramics class, one of our projects was to make some kind of box. I decided to make Warframe themed box in general. So, the top resembles Dethcube's face and the sides are Ash's powers. The inside looks like circuitry. It's actually fairly large, too...

EDT: I'm sad though because, I admit, during the firing process (Where you make the pigment melt onto the actual figure) the uh... glass coat got a few bubbles under it, and shattered off. So it's a little messed up. Drives me insane. Maybe I could fix it somehow...

    Anyway, here it is.

    wf_crate_by_shadowclaw17-d8o9byi.png

Sorry for the blur, I realized it was blurry after I uploaded the images.

  5. Hopefully in the works, but different buttons for climbing a wall and performing a wall run. Too much is attached to the jump button, and the game makes horrible decisions at times.

(also ground slam vs air melee needs different buttons imo)

Actually, camera angling controls ALL of that, sadly. Either way it's still inconvenient to take your eyes off of things just to move the way you want to.

Another idea; Can we FLIP the emblem? Because rotating it is nice and all, but sometimes we need the emblem to face the other way entirely.

  6. I wish we could check our Inventory from our Dojo. It gets annoying trading with people sometimes, because you have to constantly switch between being on our ship and in a Dojo.

    Also,

Helios to stop scanning the SAME GODDAMN CONTAINER 50 TIMES UGH

Actually, they fixed that a while ago. He's only scanning the container to finish that codex. He prioritizes living things, but if THEIR codex is already done... well... Yeah.

  7. Being able to spawn in a relay. Aswell as being able to walk back to your ship and change a loadout(change say one maxed out weapon or forma)

The option to zoom out, somtimes i feel like im really close to my frames back. Kinda wish i could have more room.

I'd love to spawn in a relay! Why didn't I think of that? And why not have it so that scrolling our mousewheel zooms in/out our camera while in safe zones?

Rapiers in warframe are all I want in life right now. That and for the cloth physics to have proper collision detection.

I'm pretty sure that actual collision detection is in the works with the promised cloth physics overhaul.

  8. I love Warframe, I really do. It's the best kind of ever-expanding growing game with a beautiful and active community.

I follow as many livesteams as I can (And I got featured on one twice! That made my day) and well, I've yet to make any real suggestions list for the game, so here goes:

    Interruptible emotes

I love goofing around with emotes, but sometimes when you do one, you suddenly realize it wasn't the best time to do it. But... it's not like you can move out of it. It'd be really nice to be able to cancel it.

    Let the puppies roam again!

I thought it was a neat feature when the kubrow could roam around on our ship, but one day I noticed it just stopped. What happened? Was it removed? Did it bug out? It's not nessicary, but it'd be a nice touch.

    GIVES US BACK UNIQUE ANIMATIONS!!!

I really, REALLY want this again. I cant press this enough. With the addition of Vauban, Warframes steadily started switching to his throwing animation for their first ability so that they can move while using powers. I had the last straw when then did that for Nekros. Casually tossing a shuriken or punching out a soul just doesn't look right.

Currently affected by this: Ash, Ember, Frost, Limbo, Nekros, Oberon, Volt

    Lockdowns adjustment

If we're able to hack into enemy systems so easily to remove lockdowns and shut off alarms, why can't we trigger a lockdown if we hacked a panel? I am greatly aware of the trolling potential of this, but I just figured by logical reasoning it should be doable.

    Sigils

You should be allowed to equip two of the same Syndicate's sigils at the same time, but it should only use the effect of the stronger one. (I.e use Assassin and Covert from Red Veil, but it would only count Assassin)

    Thrusting spear Stance

We have bladed staves and polearms, but all of them have sweeping, slashing strikes. Why not have a spear-type stance that could proc Puncture damage?

    Leg collisions

It is just a little thing, but it makes a huge difference on how people look at their own characters. We don't have leg collisions, where the character will move their leg up (or in rare cases down) when attempting to stand on a ramp.

    Weapon Progression

This needs to be looked over. Level 3's can get a Boltor Prime before they're able to get a Dragon Nikana or a Stug. It doesnt help that weapons like the Plasma Sword, by the time you get them, feel like a Skana -- low level and underpowered. Some low level weapons are also too expensive to be bought early on. By the time one could save up the resources for some of these low level weapons, better ones are already available.

    Diversify resource drops

Some resources are needed way more than others, which is expected. What isnt expected is when we have too much of one and not nearly enough of another. For example, Neural Sensors are a surprisingly demanded resource for too many recipies, yet they only drop from ONE SINGLE PLANET. In contrast, Morphics are dropped on 4 different planets.

    Weapons for stances

We're getting tons of cool new weapon/stance combinations, but having only one weapon for a stance is a little disheartening. We need more "gunblades" (High Noon), Tonfas (Gemini Cross), etc.

Pictures to come as time goes on, hopefully.

  9. A lot of people have decided to take a taste of Warframe and some began their own story of progression, from where they began to where they are now. This is a fanfic based off of my own progress, as was started in April 2013.

To anyone who reads this, please remember that this is an ongoing work in progress, and I'm not exactly the fastest at writing.

This is devoted to everyone that I’ve actually played Warframe with, and you know who you are!
And thank you Digital Extremes, for creating such an awesome game!

    Anyway, read on and enjoy!

    1 | Awakened | I

A loud crack echoes into my ears. A hiss of air forces warmth into my numbed body. A falling sensation surrounds me, interrupted suddenly by a large impact around the center of my spine.

An unfamiliar voice crept into my mind; "Tenno... Wake up, Tenno!"

My mind anchors itself back into my body, unwilling to let go of this renewed consciousness. I attempted to heft my own weight off the ground, with little success. My vision flickered back on, and I found myself staring at my familiar clawed hands digging into the metal floor. Forcing my head up, I surveyed the area.

The place had clearly fallen into a state of disarray. Vines and roots wove their way over a sheet of bent metal tiles that showed traces of decorative patterns and gold trimming. A tree grew out of a hole in the floor a fair distance to my right, it's branches weaving around a crumbled pillar and stopping just short of a.... cryogenics pod? It was wide open, and two of its six hinges were swinging gently from being moved recently. Straight across the room was a massive golden ring, slightly embedded in the ground, that had strange yet familiar energies swirling within.

The voice called to me again, corresponded by her image appearing on the left border of my vision. "Tenno? Good. You're awake. I am The Lotus. I'm recharging your systems now." A quiet, low-pitched beep sounded in my ears as a wave of blue energy passed over my body, strengthening my shields.
A woman whose face is obscured by a mask resembling the side of a blue-and-purple flower was talking on the left side of my vision. "It seems the cryo-sleep has taken your memory. No matter."
Taking a brief moment to look myself over, I realized I was in a full-body suit. My whole outfit appeared to be made of a flexible grey material that had brown armor fused directly to my arms, legs, and lower back. A word crept into my mind, and I immediately knew what it meant: ASH. It was the type of suit I was wearing. "You must escape, quickly! We don't have much time before the Grineer know you're awake."
I nodded slightly and she vanished off my display. My only choice is to listen, for she seems to be my only chance at leaving here alive...

    1 | Awakened | II

I turned to the massive ring from before, and stumbled my way towards it, trying to regain my balance from the cryo-purge. It loomed overhead, with unknown energies shimmering inside, forming the murky shape of a frozen cavern. I reached out towards the surface, and it stretched out towards my hand in response... almost as if it was inviting me in. Steeling myself for whatever lay ahead, I limped through the gate, steeling myself for whatever awaited me on the other side.
My vision became a blinding swirl of cool colors, then clarified into teals, blues, and whites; I was in a frozen cavern, filled with green military crates. Most of the crates were sealed tightly, but one appeared to have loose hinges. I kicked it open and inside was a simple, but sturdy-looking BO staff covered in ammunition. I fished it out and spun it, getting a feel for the weight. It was a well-balanced, familiar weapon that would do nicely for an escape tool.
Then a chill ran down my spine, Something isn't right...
        I listened.
        Silence, only the wind.
        Waited.
Voices, distant but growing louder. Words were being spoken in a language I did not understand. Grineer? Either way, it seemed like there were two of them, talking to each other and walking this way. The only thing in the room that could stop them from seeing me was a large industrial crate, covered in a tarp. I crouched behind it, being sure to keep my staff concealed behind it.
The duo stopped just short of the crate, idly talking with crude rifles in their hands. Both were armored to the point where they resembled turtles, with their grey and green plating going from head to toe, yet had no facial coverings.
"What's Vor going to do with him once he gets back?"
"Probably give him to the Queens or turn him into his own personal slave. He'd do just about anything ever since his little 'incident'."
They both broke out into chuckles and turned around and walked back.
I tightened my grip on my staff. Were they foes? Yes... Why did I have to ask myself? Everything seemed so different since... Since... Perhaps Lotus really is correct if I can't recall... I shook off the thought and waited.
Once the Grineer duo disappeared down the tunnel, I stood up and looked around more closely, eventually spotting a drainage pipe. Prying it open using my BO, I slid inside and pulled the panel shut again.

  10. Welp, that was interesting.

Great job guys. We hit the login button and put on our brooms.

"You're not allowed to use that image tag on this community" Whaaaat? I cant show off my 'Stache?

  11. *Crosses fingers for all the puppies out there whose owners are locked in cryostasis from the login error*

    Yeah nope... Still doing it.

It's still weird that it's only the in-game client, and that the launcher still patches/connects just fine.

  12. Yeah, something's definately up though. I still can't get in with the "ERROR_INTERNET_CONNECTION_RESET"

I've already tried disabling my firewall completely, too, to no avail.

If it means anything, there was a "Microsoft Security update" just a few days ago for Windows 7... maybe that could have some influence? I doubt it.

  13. My browser insisted on the crucial part of my post being in a lovely dark grey (took me 15 minutes to fix), and it kept telling me "You are not allowed to use that image extension on this community". So, all the image links are posted instead of me just simply using spoilered pictures that are much more conveinent to viewers.

Bit of a long list, sorry, but I care about the game fixing itself back up.

1)Kubrow are marked as enemies when tagged via waypoint.

EDT: Also, at least a blue dot on the map would be nice to help us keep track of our Kubrow. They do run off, and if something happens, I'd like to know where mine is.

  14. A dear friend of mine recently got a Kubrow, and we thought it'd be a great idea to level it on Mercury. "Sweet! Nice, low level area full of low level.... OH GOD WHY ARE THERE SO MANY STUNLOCKING ARCTRAPS?!"

Seriously, though. Poor girl didn't stand a chance. Arc Traps can stunlock a Kubrow constantly, preventing any action until the trap itself is broken. Given that Arc Traps can occasionally spawn inside of walls, this leads to some unpreventable deaths.

Please, save the kubrows before they start dying off.
