  1. Correction: The only real good AI are the Stalker and Grineer Commanders.

Seriously, those rudes aggressively shoot, take cover, and even run for better cover the moment they start taking serious flak.

The old Shield Lancer AI was pretty good too, but then DE removed its ability to run up to you and shield bash, making them useless.

They were extremely annoying, but that was due to their effectiveness.

Is that why I haven't been slammed recently? I thought my skills were just improving. :I

  2. Favorite frame changes every time I get a new one; at the moment it's a toss-up between Saryn and Ember. Favorite weapons; for a primary, I pack the Paris almost every time. Sadly haven't gotten thunderbolt to drop yet, but multishot and some crit mods make up for it. Just discovered the face-melting bundle of fun that is a potatoed Lex.

Favorite melee wep: My classy, fully-modded BAN HAMMAHHHHHHHHHHH

  3. I'm finding Ember quite a potent little bundle of joy. A bit fragile, but fun to run and gun with; the only Infested that really threaten are the toxic ancients, and Fireball is a perfect fire-and-forget (ha, ha, pun) DoT; just pop it on the ancient and add bullets to taste.

  4. I don't have any trouble with the Paris; I pack it for most missions vs. Grineer or Corpus. A little multishot, a little serration, and a little crit chance boosting goes a long way; I've single-shot killed bombards with the thing on a double-crit proc.

Although I do still pack my Boltor when I absolutely, positively need to kill everything in the room.

  5. I have the perfect idea for a fix: Revert the changes. Everything was perfectly fine before that. The credit-purchase weapons were good and a nice way to find a playstyle, the alloy plate requirements were well, standard. They never got above 300 for any weapon, yet here I'm seeing people speak of the Snipetron costing 450 Alloy Plates.

One reason I'm going to fall in love with Paris/Twin Vipers/Glaive (or Dual Ethers) is that those weapons have very easy crafting materials. Yeah some of them require a bit of Alloy Plates (Dual Ethers only) but the rest is just common stuff.

As a relatively new player, I'm going to have to agree.  The weapon prices were already daunting starting out--it seemed like it took forever just to get a new secondary wep. Despite this I still went for a founder pack and just recently bought a whole load of weapons and slots.  I'll also put forth the suggestion of charging less for guns and more for slots.  Let us make the difficult choice of spending a few bucks or letting one of our weapons go. Take us back to the old system and ramp up the plat price for weapon slots.

Also, why do you need a blueprint to build a bo? It's a stick.

  6. What's more, the problem with those SC card purchases and sales is that it does nothing to help the state of impulse buys, since players would have to plan ahead in advance (I'm guessing, I've never actually played Planetside 2).

One thing that F2P games have that allows them to be more profitable than buy-to-play and subscription based games is the ability to capitalize heavily off of impulse purchases. And you aren't going to encourage impulse buys at the current price points.

Devs, we're actually telling you to shut up and take our money.  :D

  7. I've seen this a lot and I think it happened to me the other day.  I believe it happens when the tenno in question starts firing their rifle-slot before the melee animation ends--the gun just gets excited and starts shooting bullets before the rest of the model has moved into position...or even left its 'holster'.

  8. I'd be fine with either way, and I realize this is still an open beta, but if they were really clones/robots/suits or whatever, then why would they be restricted to just one sex (or even have a sex??). You'd be able to construct a rhino of the same strength and durability regardless of whether or not it was female or male.

    Also....

People are more than sex objects. Women in particular have long been marginalised as nothing but. The rest of your post was almost reasonable, but you shot yourself in the leg right there.

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh gonna have to go with you on this one. Uncool.
