  1. That's a cheap way of saying something is content if that is true.

I agree, but the mentality runs rampant among developers of online-only games. Like, literally you see pointless and un-fun time-syncs everywhere in the online gaming industry.

Amount of time spend playing is often considered more important than quality of time spent playing. After all, from a telemetry data point of view it buffs their numbers, which on the books makes them look good.

  2. Why does it work better in their favor? I'm actually curious because I can't think of a reason in the top of my head.

The more dilluded the drop tables are, the longer it takes us to find things. They want us taking a long time to find things.

Remember, the joke about DE logic is; Time spent playing = content. This may seem silly, but there is reason that it's not inaccurate. The business model is dependent on player compulsion and greed. It's like playing a slot machine, and DE (the casino) wants to find the balance of just how little payout people will accept without getting frustrated enough to stop playing.

Besides, when has DE ever had a problem with pissing everybody off?

  3. I liked damage 2.0, but I don't like what they did to the elementals in 11.3. I wanted to give it a chance before passing judgement, so I did. After trying it a bunch, I find it to be quite unintuitive. Many of the elemental combinations now seem to be weak against the same enemies they are strong against. Corrosive strong against armor but weak against flesh (both of which grineer have)? It seems like they want us to be switching between primary and secondary for every single enemy we come across.

Preferred it the way it was.

  4. IMO they need to make the bows more unique. Each bow should have their own unique stats, such as fire rate, reload rate, hell maybe even a magazine size, imagine shooting 2 arrows at once. And then each bow would have a set of 3 arrows for Slash, Impact, Puncture. As for how to switch between these, it's easy they have it in the game already, the "skin" selection menu, much like for the Scindo and Fragor, you just pick a different "skin" which gives you a new set of arrows.

Not only does this make each bow unique, but it makes them all viable options and very very versatile as they should be.

It's not what DE is going for. They want each bow to be good against one of the factions. Dread for Infested, Paris for Grineer, and Cernos for Corpus. They seem to be doing a lot of "padding" of the weapon selection like this recently (Lex, Vasto, and Magnus are also designed to be similar guns designed to be used against different factions).

Personally, I agree with you and think that making what basically amounts to the same gun three times is a bit of a cop-out.

  5. Why slant the Brakk damage toward impact? Isn't the Bronco series already impact oriented? Wouldn't slash or puncture fill a more needed niche?

Edit: btw I STILL see no fix for off-host stats not working in the arsenal screen after playing a match. Yes I'm going to mention it every single hotfix that I don't see it get fixed.

  6. As much hate as IGN gets, I mostly agree with this review. He did stress that the gameplay mechanics are the strong point, which is true, but that the story is very lacking and the new player experience is very unfriendly (lets face it, DE has been really dragging their feet on these more than they should). Also the market is ridiculously overpriced and we all know it.

    A fair review imo.
