  1. 1. Building a clan is very time consuming and uses a lot of your resources, joining a clan may allow you to focus on other things, and then you can just invite your sons tenno to your dojo for trades.

    2. For mastery, not wasting 12p on revives and to learn other play styles I feel having as many warframes as possible to be the way to go.

    3. Put a catalyst or reactor in any warframes or weapons you enjoy playing. Some weapons only need one or two forma to be useful in tier 4 and tougher alerts while others may require 3 or more forma. A lot depends on your available  mods as well.

    4. unlocking all the nodes adds mastery, allows you not to depend on a taxi to the places you have not unlocked, and yes placing extractors on planets for resources you are low on does help but not as much as just going out at farming the resources you need.

    5. Mastery will be important regarding question 8 and if the hubs are added to ps4 like they currently exist in PC. Get as much mastery as you can get, it will also allow to add more gear ie: health ammo energy restores, and throw down more extractors.

    6. Kill them first lol, depends on your warframe, and team mates. If you are playing volt, throw your shield up or run/sprint for cover and snipe them back.

    7. Weapon and warframe slots

    8. Yes because the weapons and mods syndicates give you are awesome.

    9. Join a casual clan you will find the ability to run with more experienced geared players helps a ton, and some of us that are just grinding syndicate points every day enjoy helping new players.

    10. AngerMotivated on PSN if you need a hand message me in game.

  2. Cats would be great but would prefer way less in terms of dps, but stealthier. Thinking of like a carrier on four legs, it can hunt rare mods for you and only assists in combat if your shields are down acting like a short duration decoy.

  3. One and three have some real life parallels, a weapon can be modified a melee weapon can be weighted and balanced to my liking based on my size stature wingspan and so on. After altering the weight and balance of this melee weapon it could appear lighter to the wielder.

Bullet penetration is altered by grain of powder and ball ammo vs hollow points, rate of fire can be adjusted by gunsmiths etc.

Regarding the mods that are not even physical well I guess the same could be said for just about any of the abilities the warframes have.

  4. New myself have not yet gotten Mag or Trinity, being told Trinity may be getting a rework some of the more knowledgeable folks around here may know, but Loki opened my eyes to a whole new play style very enjoyable to say the least.

  5. While I have only played warframe for little over one month, if I may add my two cents. I am in my early forties and have been playing mmo's since realms then many years on everquest on down the line. Warframe and this f2p model have found a very interesting mixture to keep both hardcore and casual players appeased.

Most hardcore gamers especially in mmo's bemoan but secretly love the "grind". The grind in most mmo's rewards the player with something ie: an item weapon skill etc... In most mmo's an array of these items achieved from the grind place the player in a group with other players that can then do the games high end content. This leaves the more casual player either hoping or trolling for a helping hand.

While playing warframe I have done some of my favorite sixteen hour stretches and been rewarded for my persistence and effort. Other times due to family work and other real life stuff I buy some platinum get an new warframe, weapon etc... then off to the races.

I have seen others in my clan who have limited funds in real life work the trade channel to their advantage and made some real good platinum but again with a sacrifice. Farm Nyx prime parts forgo building it to sell them in trade while the market is hot etc..

With very few exceptions this game does a fantastic job of appealing to multiple types of players, while not excluding content from them. I will reference another f2p game on PS4 which is modeled after comic books but I am unsure if I can name. I played this game for one month free then realized in order to play the top tier content to either had to buy this content or become a member. While the game was fun I found it very limiting to constantly be playing with other who like me purchased their way to the top.

Just my humble opinion keep up the good work DE!

  6. Aren't the test suppose to "test" you and your skill failed five twice eight three times, at ten now. Feel a sense of accomplishment every time I pass one, especially ten (one more resource extractor to throw out). If it gets too bad build some cyphers.

  7. Some what new to the game but playing on PS4 I find melee to work extremely well on survival especially in early rounds, I switch to primary for the energy stealers, but most definitely use all three weapons when things get hectic in later rounds.

  8. Hello all!

New to forums but have been playing for about three weeks, at mastery 8, testing tomorrow for 9. I have been very lucky after my first week joined The Ghost Blades clan and they have been real helpful. Have 8 frames as well working on my 9th. Love playing Loki but feel Valkyr is the most underrated I have played so far. I real enjoy the community on PS4 most have been very helpful and patient with my learning curve unlike some online games I have played. Thanks for reading this and happy hunting all!
