does not use mods like Rush,Maglev ect?

does not Manage/Mod their Stamina?

does not use Parcour,for pretty much any other reason than going upwards?

does not pick a Frame for its Movementspeed,to go fast?

does not learn the Map to be fast in it?

does not mod or even use a Frames mobility ability?

does not pick a Mellee for its DMG/Moveset?

 

and replace basicly all of that,or atleast most,by simply Coptering?

 

 

also,do you think that it would be worth the effort on DE's side,to totally overhaul the current movement system with Parcour 2.0,

if,like it is now, most poeple,simply wont make any real use of it,for anything other than going upwards,mostly?

 

do you think that there should be any trade-off to go faster than others,if high speeds are what they desire?

like clearing a modslot, improving their movements and/or having to learn a more complicacted way to move fast,possibly on Parcour 2.0?

Yeah, Nemblin, I was going to mention that^ I'm generally running Scindo P. Also, did you guys know you actually get benefits from rushing captures? That's the only time I rush. Or silly invasions, because repeating the same mission 3 or 5 times is ridiculous

 

 

 

Please try and keep your posts relevant. The 5/6 of that was rubbish about trolling. I wasn't baiting you. I was simply replying to set the record straight. This feature doesn't take anything from the parkour system. Here's a middle ground, though. Perhaps maybe, they should buff Parkour moves so they become more appealing to use. Exp from completing little challenges randomly generated in games, getting to difficult to reach places for secrets and loot. Then add a stamina nerf to helicoptering, like stamina doesn't recharge for a short time after a helicopter move, making it not as viable for rushing, but still there to melee into a group of enemies.

 

Once again though, I see no problem with the current set up. But apparently DE should nerf the game the lowest common denominator skilled player.

 

Just to get things straight,you were baiting people with your first post,

the one that included such lovely things as '' NoHelicop%&amp;^''.

 

And for second one:

It may seem as if I was trolling, because I was. I'm glad you caught on. It's hard to take posts like this seriously. It really dumbfounds me so many have jumped on this bandwagon.

 

I'll set the record that I don't actually copter. Just haven't got into it. But the way coptering is now, hurts no one. You have the choice of who you play with. You have the choice not to copter. Someone you've invited starts coptering? Don't invite them again. They, like you, are just trying to make the most of their gameplay and have fun. Take some responsibility for your own, and stop trying to make others play the way you want them to. It's not 'balance' and it's not 'equal'.

 

Oh, why would I waste my time googling, when I have someone else to do that for me? ;) The fact I knew it costs plat to change a username, dissuades me from ever being interested in changing said username.

About Coptering,im done repeating myself all over,again and again and again,

If people think that it is bad for a ''Space-Ninja'' game to actually put more sense into using all those moves we got in hand,

together with paying attention to stats and mods and abilities, to get more speed,if speed is what they want,

if they think that there shouldnt be any trade-offs to go faster than others,

and if some even state that Coptering is basicly all that Warframe got for it,or think it would be Prince of Persia in Space,then so be it,

its not exactly my definition of fun,or debating,having to repeate myself like a broken record against the same 2-3 arguments that arent even really valid imo.

At the end of the day,it is still just a flaw in the Engine that some clinge onto calling it a feature,not a bug.

 

Maybe they will finally get rid of it,or change it drasticly on Parcour 2.0,since atleast some at DE like Scott(i think) would like that too,

and since they also attempted it once already to have it removed,there is a chance,and im crossing fingers for it. :)

Uhhh actually coptering is a huge part of endless void..

The ability to dodge and zoom past hordes of enemies is important and with the way that warframe works (movement freedom, enemies have guns, large maps) it is something important that is necessary in the game, even when we get par 2.0

 

You could also put more thought into your positioning,

there are more ways to dodge,

plus you got a good amount of different crowd-controll abilities,

and you can also start moving to extraction before the Sh*t hits the Fan,

instead of RoflCoptering past everything to make up.

 

 

without coptering frames like frost would be so terrible to play.  ...hold on guys, i'll get there in a few minutes   ...the entire mission.

 

Like quite a few mentioned earlier,it IS possible to keep up,even on Frost,without that SpinToSpeed Bug.

And im sure that somebody else would gladly do the Frost for you, if it would be that terrible to play for you without the RoflCopter.

you do realize that directional melee never existed until recently and you couldn't copter vertically before right? you HAD to use wallrunning/jumping to reach some places where coptering wouldn't take you to

saying "coptering removes any and all parkour" is just stupid unless you JUST started playing

but overall,ultimately,considering how it is being used, does it make parcour meaningless imo,yes.

and what youve said doenst really speak much for Coptering at all.

 

So,if you wanna go UPWARD,then you need parcour,or a directional Melee,right.

i totally admit that Coptering doesnt take away a thing about going UPWARD,

but that doenst make it any less of a problem,or change the fact that it is a Bug in the Engine,amongst all other things that were mentioned.

 

So,what about all those other points against Coptering that were mentioned?

if we would list them up,then im pretty sure that the ''Pro-Copter'' pile would be a lot smaller than the ''Con-Copter'' pile,

if ''cant go up with it'' is all you got to speak for it.

I have have a solution to your helicoptering problems, all of you really. Might have to just get a bit imaginative with usernames. Instead of changing this, which a lot enjoy, so it is impossible for anyone to ever use it again. Pay the, what? 150p to change your name to like NoHelicop%&amp;^ so people in match making know that you do not appreciate helicoptering, and not use it/leave squad.

 

It really is the best win/win solution I can think of.

Yes, coptering is a simple, yet powerful maneuver that makes a lot of weaker parkour content meaningless for you, if you so choose. Yes? Your point? Because that sounds awfully like Boltor Prime and Soma Prime being simple yet powerful guns that make many other weapons of the game meaningless.

So,by that logic:

if everybody would shoot with overpowered rocketlaunchers,basicly breaking the game, because nothing else in a group with people using them would matter,then thats fine,you just dont have to use it ?

People like you wont be using it anyways,making it pretty meaningless since Coptering as it is will still be easier,and for most people faster.

 

also,my Boltor usage is a whole 1% btw,but that doesnt matter,Weapon-talk and balance is a whole dif topic,and got nothing to do with Coptering on Melees.

 

 

Progression gets you more powerful and allows you to brute-force skip tediousness, sound like standard RPG progression.

You can overshoot, but no, its mostly not hard. Exactly like it's not hard to gun down a squad of Grineer with Boltor Prime. And yes, I could probably not go as fast if I wouldn't use it, when I do fell a need to use it. Just like it really looks like I can't gun down a squad of Grineer faster than with Boltor Prime.

So yes i was going somewhere with it,and you prove me right by saying yourself that Coptering IS easy to do.

And again,Weapons,other than Melee,dont matter here,if almost everybody keeps killing entire rooms with OP rocketlaunchers then that would need a ''fix'' too,

and it shouldnt be just ignored with a ''then dont use it''.

 

Wow, a bug with its own animation for each weapon type and different constant coptering value for each weapon, where the minimum seems to coincidentally be set like that you can almost always trust you can at least grab that ledge and haul yourself up. 

 

Warframe needs more bugs like this.

 

That animation is not MADE for Coptering,it is an Mid-Air Melee animation,like the Ground-Strike.

All that Coptering is,is a flaw in the Engine.

And i dont think that Warframe need even more Bugs,and also shouldnt start calling a flaw in the Engine a ''Feature''.

 

So? Your point? The playerbase is the one who plays and enjoys the game, What DE wants is not always the best. They might have benevolent goals for quality, but that does not mean that they always chose the right means for it.

 

I DE truly wants coptering gone, then they are simply wrong and its a good thing the player backlash stopped them. Community at work as it should be, for once.

by your logic,if everything would be like the ''community'' (biggest Chunk of it is silent btw,like i was) want it to be,

then Viver and other things would be still around,people wiping entire floors on almost every Map by the press of button number 4.

You'll find that using PvP aspects as an argument for change to the PvE part of the game is somewhat frowned upon on these forums.

 

There is a PvP feedback section on these forums that is currently filled with threads about coptering and PvP is balanced separately (thank god). So feel free to bring your arguments there.

Well,first off,

this Thread here is about Coptering itself,

its about that Bug on Mellee Weapons in general,

 

So i would think that it is perfectly fine to mention how it completely breaks the PvP,

aslong as that isnt my only point that i mention,wich it isnt,i mentioned quiete a few points along with some other things.

 

also,there are Moderators here,no?

if that one argument i brought up would be a problem,then im pretty sure one of them would fix that,

there is no need to act up like a moderator on your own (thank god),

since we have them already,most probably also watching this Thread.

So feel free to send in an application,to become a moderator yourself.

 

If we were to talk about coptering in PvP we would also have to mention the fact that your average PvP map is the size of a single void tower hall of which there are many in a one PvE mission... for an example.

ignoring all the points about how it makes many things of the game meaningless,

 

did you guys ever use rush,or some other movement mod,probably not,huh ?

decided to go fast,and picked a frame with high movement speed for it,or one with good abilities to do so,probably not,huh ?

learning maps so you are able to wallrun on certain spots and such to increase your speed,probably not,huh?

Also,did you know that DE-Scott (i think) openly said that he want Coptering to be gone,

that DE was on it once to have it removed, but people were going crazy about it,

makes it seem like DE actually DO want it to be gone,no?

 

And then theres PvP,

you guys like? yes?

you probably never even had a look at it i guess,

so,screw that content too along with many other things,huh?

Just RoflCopter all over the place in hopes to randomly hit somebody on accident on your way,

makes the PvP super awesome,nothing like a sad,bad,joke at all. lol

 

Rushing,can be done as fast without it,

a tool,a gap closer,it would be still all of that when it would cost stamina,2 copters,no stamina,gotta wait,

or if it would be replaced with an evasion-move,

and even beside that,you guys said it yourself,directional mellee would do the same,and its intentional,so why even keep Coptering at all then?

 

But god forbid Gunplay would become viable in PvP,and you would have to pick and mod a Frame for Speed,learning maps,ect,

there never should be a tradeoff for going really fast,and there never should be a time to improve and learn new things,because... Copter! lol

Rushing itself isnt rly the problem imo,if you wanna go fast,you totally should be able to,and you are, even without Coptering.

I think almost nobody want to Tip-Toe the same Void-Capture for the 30th time or whatever.

 

A Nova with a maxed Rush frontflipping here and there combined with a Mid-Air Mellee,sliding,wallrunning on certain spots...

just an example,and directional melee is arguable too,but there is no need for that Copter Bug BS.

sounds like a bunch of tryhard wannabes thinking theyre MLG Gods for doing a 40min t4 in a group of 4 lol

there is nothing like the ''B A D B O Y S'' (lol) in Warframe,just need the right Frame/Loadout/Mods for the Job and pretty much everything isnt rly hard untill like 60+ minutes T4,

Coptering is overrated anyway. If you know the map layouts you can usually outflip and out-slide copterers.

Right,and thats just more reason to finally get rid of it and fix that Bug,

its not THAT hard to keep up with RoflCopters.

 

and it would make you think about stamina and mods like rush,making you look at a Frames movement Speed,learn where to Wallrun/Parcour ect,wich is all pretty meaningless right now along with some other things because of that Coptering BS,

it only adds to the game to get rid of it,especially in PvP

Makes you kinda wonder why they even bothered that much with Mellee 2.0,huh ?

Might just wanna give us a Jet-Engine or something for a mellee weapon,

Almost no DMG but it got a super rare Stance to hold it up above you going super sanic fast by the press of a button !

well,atleast DE-Scott (i think) is with us on that,he also stated a few times that he would like Coptering to be gone,

they even openly asked on Tenno-live if ppl would like it to be gone.

 

Kinda seems to me like DE would actually like it to be gone for good,

theyre just scared to pull it off because of the big crying that would follow. (Happened before)

 

Just do it DE,be like From Software on Bloodborne or something,

like they basicly removed all shielding,even if people loved to turtle behind theyre Shield in full Havel but then complain that it wasnt hard enough.

Coptering is a Bug,and it makes a good chunk of the Game,probably the new Parcour 2.0 too, meaningless.

Manage/Mod your Stamina?                         -Just Copter !

Parcour?                                                       -Just Copter !

Picking a Frame for its Movementspeed?     -Just Copter !

Learn the Map to be fast in it?                      -Just Copter !

Use a Frames mobility ability?                      -Just Copter !

Pick a Mellee for its DMG/Moveset?             -Nah,it just gotta Copter good!

Well,i love going fast,and believe it or not,i am able to keep up without Coptering,most times i even reach extraction first without it,and you can too!

 

Just git gud at it ?

Of course,the fine art of Coptering is difficult to master, everybody and their Mothers Coptering all over the place,all the time,thats proof,its very hard!

 

Also,why not let everybody have a Tipedo in PVP already and remove the Primary/Secondary Weapons all together ?

Almost nobody is using them anyways,just Copter around all over the place and randomly oneshot somebody on accident.

It takes a lot of skill,coordination,knowledge about the Map and Orb-Spawnpoints,also excellent aiming and movement,

god forbid that it would start being viable using a gun,this aint CoD afterall !

 

I really hope that they will finally get rid of that gnarly Coptering Bug (yes it really is a bug) on Parcour 2.0,

it takes away so much depth from the game and it makes quiete a few things meaningless (Top of this post),

it also just looks so freaking silly,made me laugh the first few times ive seen it,some friends of mine too,

and the small benefits of it would be still there by replacing it with some sort of an evasion move,incase you get surrounded,

or atleast make it cost Stamina,2 Copters in a row,no Stramina left,gotta wait.

 

Oh,and just incase somebody feel the urge to throw some silly sayings and phrases at me like ''why u so salty'',im not,thats BS,

and it just proves me right for your obvious lack of arguments.

My First Forum Post here ever,
and no, im not about to add anotherone to the ''Gold look's like Fisher-Price Plastic now'' thread-wagon,
Im sure that ALL of the Gold,Prime Frame's too, will get that change,so i try to get used to it even if i prefer the old Gold myself.
Some wanted it tintable,they're getting that now,and we,the other half, gotta ''Deal with it'',atleast for now.
Anyway,my problem with the current change(s) on the Targis is the brightness...

It used to blend in well on very dark shades,same as on very bright ones,
but now,even the darkest Black is still too bright on the Targis.

Im not even using the deepest darkest Black on my Frame's,i like to keep the outline's and detail's visible,
but still,its WAY too bright now and it doesn't blend in anymore at all,
especially those Tribal-ish lines on it,they aren't even tintable into any shade of Black anymore at all,
they are straight-up Grey now,even with the darkest Black available on it.

Also,
those animated Energy-waves,however you wanna call them,
they turn much darker,or partly dissapear on certain camera-angles,
like on a full on frontal view,certain side angles too.


Im really not a person to B**ch and moan about everything i dont like,
Changes happen,some are good,some are bad,and for the most part i see the reasons and ''deal with it'',
but i have to say that those changes on the Targis are making me regret my purchase quiete well,
hopefully this won't remain as it's ''Final Form''.
