  1. This is a bad change, and I'm scratching my head a little bit on who thought the cap was the most intuitive way to reduce his effectiveness? What telegraphs when the maximum limit is hit? Do you have to count? I hope you guys at DE realises how unintuitive of a change this is. It might be a good idea to reduce his effectiveness on Bastille, but do it another way. Shorten the time limit on it, or shrink it a bit (it's friggin huge).

This method however, is a baffling choice.

  2. "Cannot abort mission because it's already been completed" while the other player is stuck with a black screen upon completion (oxygen runs out) of a survival mode run. Come on, how does stuff like this get past QA? This has happened all the 3 times we've been trying out this gamemode. We're playing next to each other in a LAN setup, if that has anything to do with it.

    Anyone else getting this?

  3. They have the programming/shader/whatever implemented for disrupting the minimap - instead of hiding the minimap, disrupt it at random intervals for (within boundaries) random periods of time. Obfuscate and make it slightly more challenging.

As for removing other vital pieces of information that the player can't deduce from other signs (cryopod health, mission crtiical items) - that's mad. That's just ... wow. Don't do that. Instead, I think it would be much more fun to remove your knowledge of how many rounds you've got left in your current magazine. Make the player count the bullets (but don't leave the player guessing how much ammunition he or she has left). Hide the amount of shield the player has (but don't hide the amount of health).

It's also absolutely mandatory that the player is informed about what mutator's are going to be in the level. We can change our loadout for a reason; expand on that level of gameplay.

  4. Often when I'm playing with a Vauban in an infected defense mission I find that I'm unable to melee groups of enemies that are suspended in the bastille. Right now it's with the Orthos; I don't know if it's the recent change to the way the ancients hitboxes work, but it looks I'm going to be able to hit them, but the hit doesn't land.

So what I'm suggesting is to lower the height at which a lot of infested enemies get suspended in the bastille. Currently you can't hit the chargers at all, and it's unlikely to hit the ancients. It's quite easy to hit the runners and leapers, but they're easy enough to kill with either abilities or weaponry.

It's not a huge thing, but I wonder if it could be a fairly easy fix to make melee a bit more useful (albeit still very dangerous thanks to the toxics - that's good though).

  5. So, how is vampire mod meant to work? Is it a percentage of the max HP or is it just 7HP per tick?

Because I have 200 health at the mo, and my friend had some 400-500. The effect did not scale.

  6. Kiliken on Venus. It is the lowest level Defense mission. Go up to wave 5, leave with the reward, rinse and repeat. Going past wave 5 will bring you into tier 2 rewards, meaning you will likely not get the tier 1 key.

Seems to be doing the trick. My mistake was going past wave 5. Thanks very much to the helpful information in this thread! When does it hit tier 3, by the wave? [sic]

  7. So I had a look at the drop tables and noticed that for void keys, doing a few runs of each one is highly beneficial in getting as many (and wide variety of) loot BP and part drops as possible. The titular question is because me and a friend already have all the parts of the Latron Prime, but we have not been able to find a LP BP. I realise this is kind of odd, seeing as people talk about having millions of them.

They apparently have a much higher drop rate in tier 1 missions though, if the Wikia is to believe. The problem is, I have no idea how to get tier 1 keys. Tier 2 is easy, and Tier 3 is actually manageable. But I don't think I've ever gotten a tier 1 void key.

Sorry if this is the wrong place to post a question like this, but maybe it could be a good discussion on how and where to do void key farming. Much obliged!

  8. For environmental hazards I would so love to see a little change made to the rooms with destructible windows:

Instantly kill light units a few metres away from it and suck their ragdolls right into space. It would be such a goddamned badass way to clear out a room, without being overpowered (because only light units would be affected).

More little environmental puzzles would be great!

  9. You know what game had an enemy similar to the roller that was slightly obnoxious, but also really cool? Half-life 2. The rollers are nearly complete ripoffs anyway - go all the way and make them more static. Once you get close enough, they roll towards you. Modify the players behaviour and route with these; make the player take an alternate path thanks to these. Don't frustrate the player with spammy stuns.

The problem with the scorpions are that they're unavoidable. You're often punishing the player with no indication that you're about to do so. This creates frustration. You need to give them an indication that they're about to do their attack - make it a glowy leash. Make them charge up this leash with a flashy effect and a noise. You could so easily make this a cool enemy, but at the moment it's got some problems. Do it right and you'll trigger a "oh S#&$" moment in the player - giving the player a short timeframe to avoid being stunned would add fun.

  10. Happens with all the melee weapons I've tried. Imo it's a near gamebreaker for me, especially with the furax equipped. It's especially bad considering you can still be hurt during the finisher, and I've been in a couple of tight spots because of this glitch.

It also triggers if you simply hold down the melee button after he's done the attack - you'll autoinitiate it. It's particularly bad if you're fighting several Grineer in a tight spot, or if they're slowed down by frost and playing their animation.
