  2. Today was the second time I failed the MR 19 test, and then some during practicing it. At some point during the test I just become unable to melee attack. I can still perform stealth finishers if I get close to the enemy, but can't melee strike the orbs, which leads me to fail the mission. I wasn't able to determine what triggers this. I was using Loki Prime and Redeemer. I'm sending an EE.log in a support ticket.

    Thanks in advance.

Edit: did it with the Nikana Prime and had no issues. Maybe it's a Redeemer problem?

They should just buff the Kubrows and Kavats and make their buffs as appealing as Vaccum. I think they're trying to edge away from having all pets doing the same thing.

Smeeta Kavat and Huras Kubrow are pretty strong.  Smeeta Kavat and the rest of the Kunbrows however I would never use over a sentinel with Vaccum.

Sadly there is nothing that you can give pets that is as appealing as vacuum that isn't vacuum. Even if you told me they now gather loot and bring it to you every 10 seconds I would be like "no thank you because I need this enemy dead right now and I need exactly 20 more energy to kill him".

Again, it's just about the flow of the game. Not having vacuum slows everything down. There is no reason not to have it inherent to all Warframes. And there is no reason why it shouldn't be the same all across the board. I frankly don't understand why they want to put a hipster complicated solution to a very easy fix that would require no serious work from their part and would make everyone happy.

I said no such thing.  I have a dog in real life - and try as he might, he simply can't retrieve more than one tennis ball at a time.  The only thing he seems to vacuum is food for himself - certainly doesn't bring it back.  What I was addressing is ways to make kubrows and kavats as desirable as sentinals with vacuum while increasing diversity in gameplay.

I also never said anything about putting mods on frames.

I suggested make pets retrieve individual items and bring them back - particularly items that sentinals can't vacuum.  I would gladly give up a few nanospores getting vacuumed for a reactant getting retrieved.

You completely misinterpreted my answer even though it was very clear. The last part out of quote wasn't directed at you.

What I said to you, again, is don't pull back a basic game-flow mechanic just because it doesn't correlate with your idea of flavor. No one gives a S#&$ about your IRL dog. This has nothing to do with lore and everything to do with the pace of the game.

I don't like the idea of innate vacuum on kubrows - or even having it just be a mod - I mean they aren't anteaters after all.

    That said -

    • it would be cool if there was Kubrow prime Armor that had a vacuum machine on it (and you could visually see the vacuum aparatus)  OR
    • rather than vacuuming loot, they retrieved reactant (there is some precedent for this - intentional or not I've seen wild kubrow's carry reactant back to their den)   OR
    • within a certain range (affinity?) they retrieved statues automatically and carried them back to you. OR
    • both retrieve reactant and statues - something sentinals don't do

It is to force a decision between conveniences.
Apparently it is true the convenience of collecting loot is so good for most purposes, and losses for other conveniences such as extra damage or other utility that companions offer are not so important. The companion is not so integral to most builds, so it is no choice at all.

    How to fix this?

Maybe it is time to make vacuum an exilus mod for warframes and have companions free from this burden. Force the decision of convenient loot collecting or more power to the primary powerhouse and have the auxiliary companion maybe make up for the weaker power in interesting ways? Companions become now more flexible like this.

I consider this because: so many times, the exilus slot goes to drift mods and the benefits are slim tho "optimized". Maybe to have a more meaningful choice of min-max exchanged for loot collection convenience will be better because there is no frame requiring the exilus to work as necessary, only slightly better. For companions, it does not have vacuum? It does not get used. For warframes, maybe vacuum will be used often normally, tho for end-game and fixed EOM rewards such as sorties? Vacuum will maybe be used less, and there is no specific frame for it to favor.

EDIT: For lore safety of the Vacuum mod to be on warframes, rename Vacuum to Magnetic Attractor or such things like this.

No. No more band-aid mods. What you just said is literally "make everyone drop their firewalkers and drift mods to always have vacuum on every frame, forever and ever". No.

It really isn't this hard, stop trying to make it hard. And there is literally 0 reason why we should pay for this one way or another.

I think it may be that DE thinks nothing will change, that everyone will just move to what is best regardless.

Does this mean that DE is afraid they will not be able to make the various companion precepts relatively equal in usefulness?

Literally who cares. We're asking to be able to use our cats and dogs functionally and they are already pretty useless anyway.

I think this feature should be completely separate from lore and thematic function of companions. It's not like mods or the sheer quantity of loot makes sense, neither does destroying blueprints on crafting - many other things that exist for the benefit of the game as a whole. Vacuum makes up for the default pickup range being far too small. Having it as an exclusive mod on anything will always cause strongly skewed usage, even when the alternatives include guaranteed crits at regular intervals (Adarza).

Exactly. Don't pull back a basic game-flow mechanic just because it doesn't fit with your idea of flavor. It has nothing to do with the lore and everything to do with the pace of the game.

On one hand, I can see the convenience of it.

On the other hand, I also play many other video games, and I realize these sorts of convenience items take a while to get.

So, why not have this universal vacuum as some sort of equipment? Give Simaris a vacuum equipment that he can sell to you, but it takes charges to use per mission. But also lets have it like his codex scanner, where it costs some standing to get infinite uses. That way, people can still opt into vacuum, but still keep vacuum for sentinels so people won't have to grind for Simaris if they don't want to. This also gives a goal for newer players to aim towards and makes it so that vacuum isn't just given out for free, but it has to be earned.

No. F*** that. No one wants to grind Simaris rep every day for a basic quality of life feature that we should have from the beginning. At that point I would just quit and I suspect so would most people.

EDIT: I'm still sleepy and apparently I forgot how to read correctly. My bad entirely. I still think it shouldn't be so damn complicated but what you propose is completely fair.

Well it seems I have to rethink my argument now that I've stewed on it for 12 hours

Yeah I admit I wrote that hastily; calling you a bunch of P4TW fans was a bad idea. But I SORT OF agree with myself that I find you lazy to some degree; complaining that you have to walk ten extra feet is... there's really no way to sugarcoat it, I find you rather spoiled. Well, slightly spoiled.

At the same time, I also see your argument that it's rather mind-numbing after a point. And opening up a bunch of lockers Borderlands-style really isn't fun, even coming from me, so that might need to go somehow

Not what I had intended. In retrospect yes, Synoid Mirage was a balance issue, but it was also a laziness issue, and I failed to account for both. I was thinking of the laziness one. This is again me saying I shouldn't have said that; see above for what I was trying to say, and see below for my final thoughts on "universal vacuum"

When I wrote that I didn't have an argument

What I'm thinking now is, I want the devs to test this:

    1) Remove Vacuum ENTIRELY, and 2) make all normal foundry resources (circuits, ferrite, etc.) and mods just given to you at the end of the mission. You can't use vacuum on energy/health orbs, to keep that speedy looting ninja vibe, but you don't need to run around mind-numbingly hoovering up junk either, and that rare mod you've been begging for can't fall down a pit and get stuck out of reach either

I commend you for dropping the ridiculous comparison from earlier and being honest about doing it.

That said, you're missing the point entirely. It has NOTHING to do with laziness. Not having vacuum completely BREAKS the flow of the game. Warframe is a very fast paced game where you can bullet jump and wall latch and aim glide and do all sorts of crazy ninja S#&$. So it has this amazing parkour system but the irony is if you don't have vacuum you're actively getting punished for it because instead you're stuck on the ground gathering basic supplies that you absolutely need and ***this is simply not fun and game-breaking.***

the devstream talked about give a vacuum type effect to all pets, or at least kubrows. im not against that, what i am against is making vacuum a built in effect for frames at zero cost, id rather the exilus mod idea over that. better yet, have  3 version of vacuum, one for sentinels, one for pets, and one exilus for frames. if you feel the need to have it be "universal" . obviously they wouldn't be allow to stack, either the more powerful version would take effect or you'd only be able to have one per load out in the first place

Why does it need to cost anything? It's a basic quality of life feature that is as old as gaming. State literally 1 reason why we shouldn't have this at no cost at all.

  11. 11 minutes ago, Arcainyx said:

Well this seems valid enough to me:

Devaluing Sentinels/just shifting the value to another type of companion has come up.  Also the fact that DE has made the changes they've made to Vacuum because they have design intention for it that isn't compatible with the changes people have proposed in other posts.

I will still use Taxon on a lot of frames (namely Mesa). I will still bring Helios for scanning stuff. I will still bring carrier when I'm using an ammo-hungry weapon. I will still even use Shade in some particular cases. I will maybe even bring a helminth charger with Nidus just because it's @(*()$ cool. And I will bring my Kat when I need to farm polymer bundles or what have you. Why is this bad?

  12. 3 hours ago, AuroraSonicBoom said:

Completely agree with DE's decision not to make it universal. AoE loot collection is simply not a basic necessity for every single part of the game, and with the vacuum mod having been made sentinel wide there should be way more than enough choice for those that want options. Add to that Chesa(which could use some tweaks, granted) and possible future Moa companions and you'll have even more choice.

I'm sorry what game are you playing where gathering loot isn't a basic necessity?

Would you rather being stuck on the ground gathering loot like a cripple while all your teammates are flying around very quick-like because they're actually playing a very fast paced game with a fantastic parkour system?

I think most people that complain are missing DE logic about what they want with this changes...

I'm sure they want people to actually PLAY the game, and something like a Exilus Adapter shouldn't be something that they just give you for doing 3 easy missions.

If they just give stuff easily, everyone would get bored. And if, on the other hand, you get bored because it's hard... I'm sorry to tell you that LIFE IS HARD (and also repetitive in many ocassions, but enjoying it depends on what you do with what you have)

I'm not defending DE, I'm defending the fact that the more hard it is, the better it is when you actually get that reward.

You might find farming something overwhelming, but then.. maybe you are playing in a repetitive and boring way, 'cause I never get bored, my gameplay is always in a way that I ENJOY.

In order to get an exilus this way I would need to

    1. Farm for 2 forma bps (relatively quick)

    2. Wait two days for my forma to be done.

    3. Another day for the exilus to be done.

    4. Another 3-5 days for the rest of the forma to fit the exilus in the build because the adapter is worthless otherwise.

I don't know what you do with your life but the majority of the players do NOT have the time to spend 8 days for an exilus adapter. Most people barely even play a couple hours every other day.

  14. I already posted this in Players Helping Players but I got no useful information nor any similar experiences from other people.

I've searched this forum for any similar issue and didn't find anything, apologies if it's already around.

I've had this issue ever since focus came out, I just never bothered to inquire about it since I didn't have a whole lot of time to play anyway.

Everytime I go into a mission with a focus lens equipped and I earn some focus points, and if I don't spend these points immediately after, they'll disappear once I go into another mission.

    Clarification:

    1. Finish a mission, earn 8,686 zenurik points.

    2. I forget or don't bother to go and spend them in a focus ability.

    3. Go into another mission, earn 5,683 zenurik points.

    4. Go to the focus menu, only have 5,683 zenurik points available to spend.

This makes it entirely cumbersome to farm any focus at all and near impossible to unlock new nodes or expand the pool further unless I want to commit to go endless for a long time just for the purpose of focus.

    Thanks in advance.

  16. So it turns out that GeDoSaTo was my issue too, I was running it for Dark Souls 2. Deactivated and now the launcher works fine, saved my kubrow with 10% health left!

I don't have any program out of the ordinary that can be interfering with it, if only it was that simple :[[[[

  17. Ребята все конечно хорошо,но с последним обновлением появились жуткие лаги при загрузках что делать то с этим? настройки графики как только не крутил все равно жутко лагает!!! и ещё + перед запустком игры вылетают какие-то 2 ошибки
