  1. I typically use Reshade to enhance the graphical aspect of the games I play, and I have been unable to find conclusive information on whether it is safe to use with Warframe or if it will inadvertedly trigger the anti-cheat system. What is the current stance of the dev team on that matter?

  2. 2 hours ago, WickedEight said:

    Had similar problem. Limit FPS to 60. Worked for me.

    I'm amazed this worked. I'm equally amazed at how these two things are connected. Just what goes on in this game's code?!

  3. I've been playing Warframe for nearly a year now. I've collected every Warframe in the game (except for Excalibur Prime) and of all the Warframes, the one I've least played is Ash. I am part of a large Moon clan, and from everyone I've played with, this seems to be the case as well. Now let's see what is it that makes Ash a bad Warframe.

    GRIPES

    * Whatever Ash does, another Warframe does better;

    * Ash has absolutely no team utility;

    * Even if the developers' initial intentions were to make him a stealthy frame, there is no place for stealth in current teamplay.

    Now this is the Feedback forum, and I'm not just here to rant on how poor of a frame Ash is. I'm here to suggest on how to improve the Warframe, and polish it so it may finally have a place in group content. To meet that goal, I'll be reviewing each of Ash's abilities, and what could be done to address them.

    SHURIKEN

    * Costs 25 Power to use;

    * Fires two 500 Slash damage projectiles that automatically seek out targets.

    Problems

    * Most of the time you find yourself wanting to take out one target rather than two, and it takes the same amount of energy to target one than targetting two;

    * The automatic target tracking system results in inconsistency with headshots and sometimes the projectiles getting blocked by walls and other environmental objects.

    Proposed Solution

    * Power cost remains the same;

    * Fires a single shuriken, dealing 1000 Slash damage;

    * The trajectory is controlled by the crosshair (no auto-targetting), allowing for consistency with headshots.

    SMOKE SCREEN

    * Costs 35 Power to use;

    * Ash is rendered invisible for a 8 second period.

    Problems

    * Loki's Invisibility has a longer duration and shorter cast animation.

    Proposed Solution

    Here's where it gets interesting. As I've mentioned at the start of the post, Ash has absolutely no team utility. With my revision of Smoke Screen, I hope to somehow change this. For this purpose, I offer two alternatives.

    Alternative A

    * Costs 50 Power to use;

    * Ash and all nearby allies are invisible for a 8 second period.

    Alternative B

    * Costs 50 Power to use;

    * Ash is rendered invisible for a 8 second period, creating a stationary smoke cloud. Allies standing within the stationary smoke cloud are rendered untargettable by gunfire.

    TELEPORT

    * Costs 25 Power to use;

    * Teleports Ash in front of the selected target.

    Problems

    * Ash is teleported to the target's front, leaving him vulnerable;

    * Pretty much a Switch Teleport without the swap component (lack of uniqueness).

    Solution

    * Costs 25 Power to use;

    * Ash teleports to the target's back, instead of front;

    * If used on an enemy, now stuns it for a brief moment, allowing Ash to perform a stealth attack.

    BLADE STORM

    * Costs 100 Power to use;

    * Fifteen targets are selected within the initial target's area and dealt 2000 damage each.

    Problems

    * Blade Storm takes an obscenely long time to complete;

    * Target selection being based on proximity to initial target makes for wasted Blade Storm usage on several occasions;

    * Ash is unable to act while the skill is in progress.

    Solution

    * Costs 100 Power to use;

    * Ash creates 3 Shadow Clones of himself, who spread out within an area around his current position and inflict 2000 damage up to 15 targets.

    CONCLUSION

    I know that my post is long-winded, but I honestly hope that one day all Warframes can be viable in high-level play. With this, I hope that Ash too, can be considered when playing in a team. Criticism is welcome, so feel free to reply to this post.

  4.

    if you need a bundle of carrots in front of you to motivate you to play the game, honestly, i think the problem resides elsewhere. the items you get are a bonus to the game, they are not THE game.

    The grind -is- the game.

  5. We found a reliable way for players to acquire Orokin Cells. This is unintentional and has been fixed.

    Joke aside, is there a reason why Invasions now reward only one Orokin Cell, down from three? Other rare materials continue to be given as rewards in stacks of three, why were Orokin Cells stealth nerfed?

    This change was not mentioned in any patch and doesn't leave me all that happy considering the alternatives is to collect Golem Nav Coordinates for Lephantis, or farm the painstakingly dull bosses that are Sargas Ruk and Lech Kril because DE insists on thinking invulnerability phases are fun or add difficulty.

    Let's not mention that in the time it takes you to run those 5 missions, you could've easily killed Ruk around ten times, which would have yielded at the very least 3 Cells.

  6. Don't use Cernos. Bows are incredibly inefficient for anything except stealth gameplay. You will be outperformed by anyone else who was intelligent enough to bring another weapon type.

    Weapons don't matter as much as mods versus a faction. What you need is a weapon with a high base damage (Impact+Puncture+Slash) and slap Magnetic damage on it by combining Electric with Freeze.

    Though if you really want an edge, Synapse would be your best bet since it's purely Electrical.

  7. Have several times. -.-7 I want to know if the dmg type the weapon does is dealt constantly i.e SOMA doas slash as regular( so If I stack slash dmg will it benefit from that or will I still need status chance etc)or as regular dmg or the new goofy impact, slash and whatnot...

    Do not use Impact/Puncture/Slash mods. Ever.

    They're a percentage of a percentage. If your weapon does 10 Impact damage, adding a +30% Impact damage mod will up it to 13, instead of using the weapon's base damage (as in, the combined value of Impact+Puncture+Slash).

    When you fire a weapon, it does all its base components to its target. If it has 10 Impact, 10 Puncture and 10 Slash, it will do 25 damage per shot to Infested (as they take 50% less from Impact, 50% less from Puncture, and 50% extra from Slash).

    Elemental mods will take your base damage into account. If you equip, say, Hellfire for a +90% Fire damage bonus, it will do 30 * 0.9 = 27 Fire damage in addition to your base 30 before armor and enemy weaknesses come into account.

  8. Automatic Rifle: Soma

    Semi-Automatic Rifle: Latron Prime

    Sniper Rifle: Vectis (w/ Charged or Primed Chamber)

    Special Mentions: Ignis, Ogris

    Shotgun: Strun Wraith, Sobek

    Semi-Automatic Pistol: Dual Vasto

    Automatic Pistol: Brakk, Bronco Prime, Twin Gremlins, Twin Vipers

    Melee: Galatine, Dual Zoren

  9. Rifles:

    Vectis (with prime chamber)

    Soma

    Snipetron vandal

    Supra

    Braton Prime

    Dera

    Synapes

    Latron Prime

    Ignis (Very good vs multiple targets)

    ShotGuns:

    Boar Prime

    Strun Wraith

    Sobek

    Secondary:

    Brakk

    Despair

    Twin Gremlins

    Aklex

    Cestra

    Dual vastos

    Embolist (If you don't mind being very close to enemies)

    If yah gotta any other suggestions for Rifles or secondary weapons you think can compete in that top 4 guns let me know and I will test them.

    Dera is incredibly sub-par these days, and no one's going to use Supra when Soma exists. Hell, even Braton Prime has a hard run for its money against Soma.

    Boar Prime? Good? Even Hek is better than it.

    The ridiculous fire rate and proportional recoil makes Boar Prime a terrible weapon. If you have to use a full automatic shotgun, stick with Sobek.

    Embolist is absolutely terrible and has no place among the best pistols. Cestra is almost as bad. Aklex is AWFUL. Do you even play the same game I do?

    The other suggestions seem acceptable, though I honestly question if Despair deserves its spot now that Armor Ignore and Armor Penetration are a thing of the past.

    P.S.: Where the hell is Ogris?

  10. So let me get this straight.

    You're testing the efficiency of an accuracy reducing mod on a bow.

    Which is a long range weapon meant to snipe out isolated targets.

    Which you're using in short range.

    It's bad enough that you're gimping your overall efficiency by using a bow, you're also gimping your survivability by using it wrong.

    Are you honestly surprised you can't tell the accuracy loss of using Heavy Caliber at such a short distance? Because I'm not.

  11. This review is spot on. If only DE were to actually care about these reviews, they would actually work on improving their game.

    Unfortunately, all you see on the forums are positive posts and "Thanks DE" on several languages when DE launches yet another terrible, buggy update.

    And for those of you that keep mentioning "it's a beta", stop. That's a terrible excuse. This game has been around for months and has developed its market so extensively it doesn't have the right to call itself a beta anymore. It's just a stupid excuse to get away with bugs and replacing DE's non-existent QA team with Warframe's players.
