status effects or something kill kela during the second orbital strike phase.

This thing I could believe.  I keep using lots of status effects.  The one game where nothing bad happened, everyone in the squad knew what they were doing and we DPSed her really hard during the damage phases.  I barely had time to strip her armor before she advanced to the next phase.

  2. So, I noticed in the patch notes from yesterday's hotfix that the issue with Kela De Thaym was supposed to have been fixed. So I ran her again. The first time I did it worked like a charm. The second time I ran her, it looked like the same issue was going to crop up; the UI symptoms were there, but after 10ish seconds, she keeled over and died. Got my loot and everything. Then I ran her a third time. The same issued that was supposed to have gotten fixed in the hotfix happened again. I left after about a minute of Kela being invincible. I ran the mission again, figuring maybe this time it would work better. Same issue. She was invincible on the last step again.

  3. Can also confirm.  Had this experience earlier.  She appeared, had an empty health bar, could shoot, my reticle turned red when I had it over her, but my shots didn't appear to hit her.  No damage numbers or anything.  I had used a Mara Detron going for full status (Corrosive, Blast, and Radiation), and Soma Prime with a Hunter Munitions crit build with Viral Damage (in case any of this information is useful to the devs).  I would strip Kela's armor at every phase, and when she showed up the last time, she still had the corrosive proc symbol next to her health bar.

  4. Thank you all so much for all of the suggestions.  I honestly wasn't expecting this kind of support when I posted this question.  As for the suggestions, I really appreciate them.  I did the vast majority of the game on my own, and got most of my mods before they changed the drop tables (anyone else remember Damage 1.0?) so I never really experienced those things.  They also helped me come up with one of my own:

Anyone else need help with The Glast Gambit?

  5. Hello everyone, I've been playing this game basically since it came out, and I have a problem.  See, I've gotten bored playing this game, which is a real problem because I really like this game.  I've gotten invested in all the quirky people in this system, in my wonderful pets, in seeing what happens next, in trying out new things, in...well everything really.  But the grind doesn't do it for me anymore; I don't think it ever did.  And then something happened yesterday.

I went fishing, and after I was done, I took my fish to Fisher Hai-Luk, and I donated a few for standing, and she said that the ones I donated would go to help feed the people.  And I felt...good, in a way I don't usually associate with playing Warframe.  Which brought me to a realization: I may not care about the grind, but I do care a whole awful lot about the people in the world DE built.

And this brings me to my request for you, if you are interested and willing to help: what are the kindest things I can do in Warframe, either for other players or for NPCs?

  6. I was recently chatting with a rather goofy friend of mind, when he said, "Holy crap I just realized the fisticuffs stance mod is called 'Fracturing Wind'."  This lead to a number of fart jokes being made about the name of this mod.  So I'm asking, can we get a name for this mod that doesn't sound like the punchline of a Monty Python sketch?  Unless of course that was the whole point and DE was just waiting to see how long it took the community to figure out that they put it in there. That is all.

  7. Accompaniment:

(Because I am an auditory person)

    Patience

    “Wake up, Tenno.”

She never called him by his name.  He wasn’t like most Tenno.  He wasn’t one of hers.  She didn’t find him.  The Corpus did, before the days of Zanuka.  If they knew what they had found, they would have left him in stasis.  He made it off Neptune with nothing but zeal, fury, and stolen weapons.  By the time the Lotus found him wandering Earth, the Grineer had learned to fear him.

    “We found the Conquest.”

    1yEwfwy.png

A hologram of the ship appeared in front of him, and his eyes lit up like stars.  He had spent months scouring the system for any clues regarding its whereabouts.  The Conquest was special.  He raided numerous planet-based data networks, and none of them contained sensitive information.  The Grineer were paranoid, afraid that someone like him would do something like he did.  Instead they kept their sensitive data on a ship, and everything pointed to the Conquest being that ship.

    “Where?” he intoned.

“Saturn.  Do this right.  We won’t get another chance.”  He was already out the door.

He entered the Conquest, carrying a device that would allow the Lotus to access its systems, and immediately started running.  He saw the first sentry.  His Lex barked once, and the sentry died.  He didn’t pause.  The Grineer sounded the alarm; someone must have heard his Lex.  He didn’t pause.  They threw everything they had at him.  He paused, briefly.

    JsjKFCa.png

He made it to the central computer and input the device.  As the Lotus gained control over the ship, he poured over its databanks.  Everything was valuable, and she would have informed him of anything relevant, but he still tore through them. He was looking for one specific thing.  He knew where he was going next.

The base he was going to was heavily defended, but that thought barely registered in his mind.  He had waited ages for this moment.  The Grineer tried to stop him, but he would not be deterred.  He dropped the Lotus into the network.  The Grineer redoubled their efforts, but he would not be stopped.  As often as the Grineer allowed, he stole a glance at the console.  Countless hours dredging through esoteric information, innumerable missions fighting through inhospitable locations, untold eons waiting through cold stasis, and they all lead here.

“All logs indicate than an Orokin…”  He didn’t hear the rest.  He didn’t need to.  He already knew what he was going to find.  He headed to the cryopod and began the awakening protocols.

    V8RvZ8f.png

The Grineer deployed the fiercest resistance he had ever seen.  It did not matter.  He killed them all as soon as he saw them.  He would not be denied.  An indicator light in his HUD told him the awakening protocols had finished, and the cryopod let out a small hiss.

“Hello, Nephilim,” he said to the newly awakened Tenno.

    “Hello, Seraph,” Nephilim replied.

  8. The environmental effects sound really interesting.  There would obviously need to be some testing to make sure nothing was too ridiculous, but that the idea is quite sound.  Also, this could make nightmare mode make more sense.  As it stands Nightmare mode consists of 3 randomly selected arbitrary challenges.  Using the environment, 2 of those effects could be debuffs related to the environment, and the last challenge would buff the enemies.  These environmental effects would be highly , and mostly, if not completely, negative.  The ones that appear randomly in regular missions could be a combination of bad and good, and generally have less of an impact.

  9. In my experience, the problem isn't with the fans themselves, as they break after a small number of hits.  Rather, the problem is the metal bar running horizontally across the center of the fan.  The bar is impervious to damage, and is at just the right height to block most melee attacks.  This is why sliding attacks work well against them, and most melee attacks don't.  If this bar could take damage like the rest of the fan, I think that would solve many problems.

  10. I'm going to assume you're relatively new to this game, so my suggestions will be geared towards that kind of player.  If you are not, I apologize.  For warframes, I can say from personal experience that Ash can indeed be a house in close combat, due in no small part to the fact that smokescreen is amazing.  I can also say from personal experience that Rhino is built like a brick S#&$house.  This is mostly due to the fact that Rhino has 150 starting shields, so redirection gives even bigger bonuses, and that Iron Skin exists.  Do you need strategy with a Rhino?  Yes, but no where near as much as with any of the other frames mentioned.  With regard to the weapons, if you are in a clan that can get them, the Dual Ichors are quite good, as they can be modded specifically to do against each faction.  As for the regular weapons, I have used both the Gram and the Orthos and I can say I like them both.  The Gram swings a little faster and the hitboxes are more regular, but it does less damage.  However, both weapons are definitely usable.  Also, while I have not personally used the Galantine, I have heard nothing but good things about it.  If you want some general advise, make sure whatever weapon you pick can hit multiple enemies at once, and does good damage.  And one last thing: if you can get your hands on a glaive, it is a boatload of fun.

  11. I have the same problem.  I got a tier 1 exterminate key, used it, then got a tier 2 exterminate key, which ended up giving me a tier 3 exterminate key.  I later got another tier 2 key which also "upgraded" to a tier 3 key.  Never got keys in void missions before this.

  12. I do not know if this was brought up before, but everytime I sneak attack a charger, I don't use my melee weapon, I use the gun I currently have in my hand.  While this looks ok with the skana sneak attack when I have a rifle in my hand (it looks like I'm strangling the charger with my gun), when I have my gram it looks odd (burying my gun in the charger's back), but when I have my dual ethers it looks outright rediculous.  I spin around hovering over the charger, and my gun doesn't even touch the charger's back.  I realize that this is not the most pressing of issues, but it really detracts from the game.
