TL;DR: scale excavator health, manually call down excavators with interact, spawn cache at cycle end for fissures

I think excavator health should scale with the starting enemy level of the mission. Rescue, defense (sortie & cryopod), mobile defense, and even ghoul missions with grokdrul injectors are all defense targets with scaling health based on difficulty to set precedence for this change. This is particularly frustrating for new players running limbo theorem that may not have a good solo excavation frame.

Solo excavation spawn rates are another problem that should be corrected, but is discussed in other threads.

I want excavators to be called down with the interact button. Excavator spawn locations randomly generated frequently cause squads to accidentally start excavators. E.g. traveling to excavator B 300 m away, the circle for C 50 m away spawns and the squad joining a teammate at B accidentally triggers the C excavator. If there is a console that spawns at an excavator drop site, or even just a glowing circle similar to the revenant questline in the center of a drop zone, someone should press interact (X) to call down the excavator. The excavator drop zones in corpus tilesets are nearly impassable in some areas and cause premature excavation.

At the end of fissure excavation, I think a resource cache should take the place of an excavator. The cache can be opened by a player to give the excavation reward to the squad, similar to an hidden resource cache typically found in sabotage missions. Resetting reactant collection for relics because a relic was accidentally fully powered by a nearby cell carrier too early is frustrating for excavation farming. Capture missions do not end 5 seconds after the target is captured and the mission ends when a majority of players are extracting. If the cache should be opened by a majority of players to end a fissure cycle, friendship door consoles adjacent to the cache locker can trigger it to open.
