The new strange quest

Hi, I have been stuck on the new strange quest due to the fact that I cannot scan 3 elite arid lancers to finish the quest. 

I do the mission on Mars in Ares. Simaris never prompts me to scan him at the beginning of the mission.  I’ve tried it on solo, invite only and public missions. I’ve had my clan members load the quest and invite me in and try and do it that way to no avail. I’ve also cleared active quest and restarted the quest, didn’t work either.  I’ve scanned the mob 6 different times yesterday in area and in other mars missions with higher level mobs.  

The only thing I can think of is I was running the limbo theorem and the new strange back and forth.  I’ve finished the limbo quest and the warframe is baking in the foundry right now. It should be done in about 36 hours. 

Ive looked on YouTube and reddit for help.

They are not simaris targets, you just need to scan them on the planet they are found with sythisis scanners, i dont think its like his sythisis target, dont quote me its been a year or so since i did the quest myself.
