You can usually scrape by in groups getting barely enough reactants for each wave (usually, there are some cases you can't). In solo the problem is just so much worse. I have a hard time finding anyone who wants to go all-in for an hour or more cracking relics, so I tend to just go solo. I'll regularly miss getting enough reactant for minute 15, 20 (and barely get enough for earlier ones), do a little better for later waves, and usually around minute 55, 60 it becomes a problem again.

 

I'm not sure if this is a problem because enemies need to drop life support too in this mode, but it's just sort of frustrating for it to all come down to what feels like dumb luck.
