Friends only option disappeared and I can't go on Public

When I finished the download for Fortuna, I got online and set myself to invite only. Now, I've noticed that the friends only option has completely blacked out like it was erased, and I can't even put my mouse over the public option. I'm stuck on invite only and can't join any public squads, and I tried restarting my computer and the game it's self, but nothing seems to be working.

I've encountered the same error several times, including just a minute ago. It appeared to resolve when I queued up a mission in Invite Only and then cancelled; I had the same error last night and, I believe, had to do a mission first before I came back to a working matchmaking menu.
