Trades not distinguishing equipped and unequipped mods

Not sure if this is the right place for this bug report or if this has always been a thing. I was trading a power drift mod I just ranked up to max (for the trade) and wasn't equipped on anything (as seen by the black dot/symbol above the ranking dots). When I was in the trade menu it showed two power drift mods at max rank and both had the equipped symbol on and both gave me the notification that trading will uninstall the mod. This meant going through all warframe builds to make sure they are fixed as power drift was uninstalled from all frames.
