Baruuk - cannot hit enemies caught in strangledome

I was doing a kuva survival mission and noticed I was having trouble hitting enemies with my Desert Wind on Baruuk. I narrowed it down to when the enemy is caught in a strangledome (Khora ability) none of my ranged attacks were hitting the enemies where normally walls and other obstacles don't matter.
