Missing Gear

Every now and than in my game my gear will go missing.

it was mostly stuff like fishing rods and mining gear that i could get again easily.

But than one day me and my friend are doing the 'sands of inaros quest' and we failed because we were pretty low level at that time, and when I got back to my ship the sacred vessel that you need to complete the quest had been basically been from my inventory.

so now i can't complete the quest i even waited till baro came back hoping that would help fix it but it didn't.

what should I do because anyway I see at getting it back is not a problem i can solve without the help of the developers.
