Game unplayable due to FPS drops upon shooting weapons

Hey everyone,

Been playing Warframe now for ~150 hours, smooth frame rate holding at 60fps in most cases except in very heavy firefights or some small drops in open worlds. After this update (I think it was called 24.4?), my frame rate drops to essentially 0 (maybe 1?) every time I fire a weapon or use a melee weapon, and does not resolve itself until I stop firing. 

This is a gamebreaking bug for me - I cannot play like this. Thoughts on how to resolve this? I've fiddled with some settings, made sure all my drivers are up to date, etc. 

Specs (LAPTOP - again, never had an issue with this game until now):

• Intel i5-8250U
• NVIDIA GeForce MX150
• 16GB Ram
