Soma Vs Gorgon? (In Terms Of Dps)

I have never used the Gorgon, but apparently it is the thing that people like to compare the Soma to.

I enjoy the Soma a LOT.

 

Is the Gorgon superior to the Soma in terms of DPS?

You only wished; how are you supposed to beat an 87.5% chance to deal 840% critical damage (using the right mods)? Then again, the Soma might be nerfed in the near future (as a 35% base critical chance with 300% critical damage seems excessive).

I'm hoping it isn't nerfed, but it might need it for balance. If they do anything I hope it's just dropping the crit multiplier to 200%. I will still be fun and worthy of crit mods, but won't be quite as overwhelming.

Really? I was under the impression that the Gorgon was an excellent non-dojo weapon. A lot of people seem to use it, and a lot of people suggest it.

I wouldn't say that Gorgon is weak, it still has good DPS when modded correctly (of course Damage, Armor piercing, fire rate mods are great as well, especially shred), but in comparison to Supra, which is dojo weapon, it deals much less damage.

But still, Gorgon is really good weapon, it gets the job done and is really fun to use.

 

And Soma probably outperforms every other primary in terms of DPS, even Strun Wraith
