Unable to use Primary and Secondary weapons

I'm not sure exactly how to explain it. The melee works fine, however when i try to use my primary weapons and secondary nothing happens. That is until i use my melee and then a gun shot happens right after, or it keeps firing until the ammo is expended. Using my 1st ability does cancel out the repeated firing. I have checked my key bindings and reset them, but it didn't work. I also tried to restart the game multiple times and that didn't do anything. I also tried to go in solo and in groups and the bug still persists.
