Local stores have been selling it early.

A lot of Xbone and PS4 users have it already.

Just like MGS V.

What?

Dirty console peasants!

Ah well, we glorious PC users get the best mods and can run it faster than 30 FPS.

Take THAT commie console scumbags!

*PC elitism intensifies*

Anyway, I really don't care about the lack of a repair system. All that changes is that now I won't be carrying around six .44s.

If I really want it back, I can always mod it back it.

I just felt the repair system was annoying more than anything.

Kinda glad it's gone.

Also, I don't get how console modding is going to work.

Without Script Extenders they won't be able to get anything worthwhile...

Exactly!

They'll probably just get guns and armor mods, nothing worthwhile.

Maybe some quest mods, but none of the big ones.

I still question when mod support will be available. I am optimistic with this FO, DC was a heck of a place to explore, NV... Not so much. Do not do god dang desert maps, hardly do they ever work.

Probably crappy ones too.

Considering a lot of the good ones are generally like themed on other games or stuff, and I am pretty sure there will be copyright issues for mods on console.

Removal of the repair system has not been confirmed. Pete Hines would not talk about it when asked, so all we have is the lack of CND bars at Quakecon to go on. Considering everything else that has been overhauled, I would not doubt that the repair system was also overhauled.

Skills are dead though, but I really don't mind. Applying skills to a silly number based system really was not very immersive, and was one of the few things I actually was never a fan of.

I like the new perk system much more.

Is it a skyrim-style levelling system?

I dunno.. I liked carrying around twenty copies of the same gun for repair.

Only thing I'm expecting is more armor and weapons. That's really the only realistic hopes console players will get. How do you guys think quest mods will work?

Probably won't work well because you'd need custom voice lines and stuff to get decent quest mods.

FO4 map preview

snip

Anything on how big it is?

I keep hearing anywhere from it's smaller to FO3 to it's like double the size of FO3.

I mean you could still probably make okay Quest mods for consoles but they won't be anywhere near as good as the PC ones will be. Which I guess is inevitable anyways.

Doubtful, for anything to work well in a quest it needs some form of scripting, and without script extenders you can't.
