--Q--TheLoneRonin
Somethings should be able to be bought with the game currency and not the platnium (EX. Orokin Catalyst, Orokin Reactor or any weapon) cause some people don't have the money to buy "platnium" because of the economy issues and job layoffs. It should be fun for everyone cause some people are trying to play this game with the best of thier ablity to pay but they don't cause of loans, bills, taxes, etc.

wheatnoodles
To better clarify, there are Alert Missions that occur randomly, on any given mission that you have unlocked. Within these alerts there's a chance it'll reward you with a mystery prize which varies from various blueprints that are "platinum-only" (like the Helmets, the Orokins, and also weapons that are unobtainable otherwise, even with platinum). Complete these alert missions and you'll receive your mysterious reward. Not all alert missions give you mystery rewards though. Only those marked with a [?] within the Rewards section. Here is more information regarding these alerts: https://forums.warframe.com/index.php?/topic/9437-read-first-a-guide-to-system-alerts/ You don't have to buy any platinum at all. The only platinum-restricted items are Warframe slots, Weapon Slots, Affinity/Credit Boosters (useless), Omni Ammo Box (why? dont even...) and Color Pickers. To obtain the weapons that seem to be available for platinums, scroll to the last page and buy the blueprints instead for credits. Within the foundry, each blueprint will tell you which materials are required to craft the weapons. In the main screen, in the view of all the planets, hover your mouse over a planet to see which materials it will drop. Materials are obtained through dead enemies or through loot containers. Loot containers are these tall cylinder storage units that can be destroyed to grant you Health, Energy, Affinity, and/or Materials. Best of luck to you.
