Improve the Dynamic Resolution option.

  • Improve Dynamic 3D Resolution and allow the user to set a minimum resolution scale for the Auto setting, instead of only allowing the user to set a fixed 3D resolution.
  • Improve performance of Dynamic Resolution so it actually does its job well, whenever there is a drop in framerate immediately drop the resolution as low as it takes to make FPS return to normal levels (50 to 60 frames per second at least)

Currently players cannot set a minimum resolution when using dynamic resolution. The game decides how low the resolution may go (not very low):ReIqspE.png

While the game's performance is usually consistent regardless, there are some outliers. The most demanding areas of the game, for example, small areas with too much foilage, struggle even under appropriate hardware that otherwise would run okay (GeForce GTX 1050, in this case). Unfortunately enabling dynamic resolution does not help because the game's dynamic resolution is not effective at all, its only a minor difference. Comparing this to games that rely on dynamic resolution, such as FAST RMX, those games run well and also can jump anywhere from 720p to 1080p, depending on the circumstances.

This can be solved by the user if they set their own fixed resolution:

However, this does not allow the resolution to go any higher; it is not dynamic, only fixed. Therefore it remains at such a low quality.

The game's dynamic resolution does practically nothing from what I have noticed. It's too afraid to sacrifice screen quality for performance. This should be changed to make the effects of Dynamic resolution more extreme. But to prevent making it go too low, allow the user to use the Resolution Scale value to set the minimum resolution, so they still have some say in how quality and speed are balanced.
