Staves Volu Skin and Tipedo

Quick question.. staves like the Bo make blunt clunking sounds, while the Tipedo makes a metallic slashing sound, appropriate to its damage type.  If I get the Staves Volu Skin (which looks visually blunt) and equip it on a Tipedo(Prime), will that change the sound to blunt?  Or is the sound still tied to the actual damage type?

Edit: Oops, just realized this was a feedback category and not general questions, but can't delete/move thread.  Oh well, I guess you could kind of consider it feedback in a way.
