ZachC
What came to me is that there are mods which are absolute "must haves," such as redirection, vitality, serration, point blank, etc. Long suggestion short, why not integrate these into the items that use them, as a sort of "free mod" of sorts, residing in their own special slot which costs nothing? The current state with these cores mods decreases build variety overall, why not give players more options? I feel as if freeing up two slots on warframes and one slot on weapons (possibly two on melee weapons so you don't have to gimp yourself to use both charge and normal attacks) would allow us to see more build diversity. Mosychuk
It's logical enough to have 'intrinsic' mods on weapons because they have sort of basal attributes that any gun should have, but with how DE's system is currently implemented it wouldnt work. This is in primary because just having extra mod slots because we can shave out 8-15 points for serration, we can simply keep jamming in more mods to reach higher and higher damage. If we reworked the modding system to accomodate, then sure, but we'd probably end up with less overall mod points to spend.
