Even on a SSD, the optimizer process takes a long time, and with all the updates in the past month, the prompt is bugging me every launch. But if I decide that I want to play (and have the time), I will skip doing it, just because it takes a lot of time to complete. What could be useful would be to have the launcher fire up after a graceful exit of the game (ie: voluntary by the user), and trigger the optimization. If you have exited the game, you are probably done with your play session and don't mind the 15+ minutes the optimizer takes. Another thing would be to also defer the prompt until a significant data save could be achieved -- I personally do not care if I can save 400MB in disk space.
