Elements? What Does Ice Do?

OK so what exactly do the elements do?

Seems like with lightning a lot of the time it stuns them and it also seems to take their shields down faster but does it really?

Fire... le sigh T.T been playing two weeks and have yet to get a fire mod but I would assume it deals extra dmg to unarmored units and applies a minor d.o.t.

Ice.... WTF DOES ICE DO? It doesn't seem to slow, it totally doesn't freeze and I can't figure out what it does :/ so please someone inform me cure my ignorance

Freeze damage slows down enemy movements, along with dealing extra damage, 2x to shields.

Electric damage stuns CORPUS and deals extra damage, 2x to MOAs and such.

Fire Damage deals extra damage, 2x to Infested, and can cause enemies to "panic" from being on fire.

Armor piercing deals massive damage to CORPUS heads, and bonus damage to grineers.

I missing anything?...

Freezing damage does slow down enemies~

if you've ever ap[lied it to your gun it can see the slowed speed when they run to you~

they're movements don't stop to a halt at all but it does slow them down to a small incramints~

Bottom of the First post Explains all the elements and the perks each hold. Pretty much each Stagger/More damage againest a Certain race, Ice provides Slow+ 2xdamage to shield, Fire>Infested, Elect>Corpus Armor pen>Grineer
