Dual Zoren Delay - Is This Intented?

Recently I've been using the Dual Zoren weapon, and have noticed an irritating quirk with it. Whenever performing a ground execution move, the player is unable to use their melee attack for a few seconds after the animation has completed. This is, as far as I've experienced, not present on any other melee weapon, and can be very disruptive when attacking a large crowd and the execution triggers unintentionally due to falling enemies nearby (I have been using the Wyrm sentinel and thus enemies within melee reach are frequently knocked down).

 

Is this intentional, or a bug?

When you say animation, which one are you referring to? If you mean animation as in the actual attack animation,

Then the delay could be due to the time needed to "sheath" the weapon. I've noticed this with dual ethers, where I

have to wait until the swords' back on my back to use my melee. If you mean animation as in when you have "sheathed"

the sword and still cannot use melee for a few seconds, then there's something wrong.
