Tulzscha Posted November 12, 2013 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Luckily Haiyan's path of destruction spared Manila (where I am right now), but my home province in Negros was not so fortunate with some significant damage to our farm. Tacloban was probably the hardest hit based on what I've seen in the news...the insane winds and tsunami-like storm surge wrecked everything and it's a grim situation over there with dead bodies littering the streets, people looting just to survive, death toll expected to reach 10,000. Still worried because some of my friends who live there haven't checked in yet if they're ok due to the comms blackout. I'm currently helping with relief efforts organized by my company to send aid any way we can, I hope the other Pinoys in the WF community do the same to help our less fortunate countrymen who have lost everything.
