Torid Fps Drop

I recently have obtained the Torid and have been using it for a while. However, sometimes I'll get an insane framerate drop while using this weapon that lasts for several seconds (usually all the way down to ~10 fps). 

 

I have two main questions: 

1- Is anyone else experiencing this?

2- Does anyone know what may be causing this?

 

*Now, before someone says "it's your specs," keep these things in mind: 

 

I run this game maxed out, averaging 60fps. Also, I don't get these insane framerate drops from any other weapons I have used; just the Torid. Both of these factors lead me to believe there may be a performance bug connected to the weapon itself, particularly the clouds or the multitude of damage numbers popping up everywhere.

Did you use DX11? Try turning off the runtime tesselation (or lower/forced it off through driver settings), it might be the cause.

I also have this issue, and it seems like its only when I have cryo rounds on it. I'll have to try adjusting that option.
