Current Update Freezes At Initial Splash Screen

I just reinstalled the game to try out update 11.  Unfortunately it seems the game now refuses to fully load.

The launcher loads up and does it's thing as usual, but when I click "Play" it will boot up the game,

up to the splash screen.  Once there it just locks up at the initial splash screen image, and the only thing that ever loads

is the little bar at the bottom left for frame response/fps.  The loading bar itself never moves and I have to force crash

the game to get back out.

I never had this issue with this game before.  Anyone else experiencing this?

System Specs (not posting to brag or anything, just figure it may help in finding an answer to the problem)

AMD FX-8350 @ 4.9Ghz Watercooled (Prime stable)

32GB G.Skill DDR3 1866 RAM @ 2166 stable

2x OCZ Vertex 4 SSD's in Raid 0

Asus Sabertooth 990FX Rev 2 mobo with current bios

Happening to me too. A verification of my files fixed it the first time, but now even that isn't working.

Win 7

i5-2500k

8GB Ripjaws

640GB Caviar Black

MSI P67

GTX 570 (331.82)

Latest DX.

Edit:

Disabling multithreaded rendering let me load in to the game again. >.> So...there's that.

Yeah I neglected to read the part in the patch notes about multithreading being enabled by default. Disabled that earlier and game started up just fine. Not sure why they decided to change that to a default if it isn't fully stable yet.
