Getting Negative Syndicate Rep PS5

I just started farming syndicate rep and pledged to New Loka. I ran the belly of the beast event mission and was told at the mission results at the end that I gained 5k rep with New Loka as well as Perrin sequence but when I went to check the syndicate menu it's saying I lost a rank and 10k rep with every faction except Arbiters of Hexis and Red Veil. This makes zero sense to me and I've had reports from other people saying it's happened to them as well.
