An Warframes Innate Melee Dmg Question

So I was browsing the Warframe wiki and looked all over for this but couldn't find an answer anywhere. The wiki says for instance that Rhino does 35 melee dmg. And that Excalibur does: "equal to weapon" melee dmg. Can someone explain to me what this actually means?

Thanks in advance.

No those do not affect your melee damage.

It's not that i'm not believing it but can someone explain why the Warframe wiki says this? And if it's not true, why isn't it changed.. So hard to find reliable info on this game.

Also, thanks for the answer.

It was just the melee damage of the melee weapon that the warframe had in their inventory at the time.

For some reason, the information isn't available to the public. I really can't tell you why. I think it's supposed to prevent min-maxing, but then people experiment and do it anyway.

AFAIK, all warframes have the same base melee damage.
