How To Start The Mission

Now, I know the following idea would be quite difficult to implement...  But I was wondering who would be interested in having something like this:

 

We always start the mission by dropping in somewhere, only to be picked up by the waiting extraction ship.

 

What if we were to fly the ship to drop ourselves off?  We could decide to stealthily approach the ship by avoiding sensors, or you could go in guns blazing, but be known when you board.  

Or you could land on the outside of the ship, and have some EVA to get to the inside of the ship, much like the new tile-set in the invasion missions.

 

I don't know how many people would be interested in this, just something I thought of.

Basically have a flight minigame at the start of the mission that decides whether or not you start the mission proper with the enemies in an Alert state?

 

Nah, seems a little out-of-place to me.
