Durandalle
Sorry for the terrible english =) As players prefer melee, I would like to see a sword in hand, not on the back. First option, and, in my opinion, the less interesting, it's just an opportunity to take a melee weapon in hand. Here or superfluous buttons to do this or break the cycle of change weapons "primary-secondary". A second option is to add a melee weapon as the primary. More suited for this heavy weapon. It will have the ammo. Damage and(/or) speed more than usual melee weapon of the same type (it does not need to get out from back). That is, we will still have a melee weapon on the back (or gloves on the hands, etc.) for the cases when you need to save ammo (when attacking weaker enemies, for example) or they run out. To their modes do not conflict better use mods from rifles. Especially that melee modes are not designed for ammunition. Ammunition are the same as a sniper rifle or a bow. Or a separate type of ammunition - a charge. Does not require them to pick up, restored as a shield. Has a charge 100. Uses (for example) 25 charge per hit. That is, we can to use a melee weapon while the primary melee charge restores. Attacks several purposes. Each stroke spends ammo, even if missed. Does not use stamina, that allows you to fully use melee weapons.
