I don't think puncture is doing any damage at all. Using flechette sees no increase in the element damage either. Default or point blank puncture is working fine but if you add any other mod to it it does not add past that. GSGregory Posted January 7, 2014 Author Share Posted January 7, 2014 (edited) DE needs to make this bug apply to all physical damage mods...Anything beyond point blank seems to not apply to element damage so is it even applying as puncture damage?Having flechette and accelerated blast equipped saw a difference of 3 dmg per hit on the low side and +6 on the high side... Yeah, we can't have puncture damage scaling off base physical damage instead of base puncture damage. That would be just silly and discourage weapon build variety. Honestly, DE. It draws from all three damage types instead of just from puncture, meaning it is completely beast right now and has been ever since damage 2.0. The reason it doesn't add to elemental damage is because none of the impact/puncture/slash specific mods add to elementals. Only flat damage and mutishot mods do that. Elemental damage is only multiplied by base damage, which is only modified by %Base Damage (Serration, etc) and multishot. Additional physical damage is slapped on top of that, just like elements are. Been this way since 1.0.
