Mythblaze Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 GPU utilization on a GTX 780 is rather low in Warframe. I tested extensively to determine whether or not the issue my VGC or some other PC issue from PSU, RAM,CPU or a malfunctioning SSD. No hardware issue, which leads me now to come to the conclusion that the issue is either the Graphics card driver which I'm using 332.21 or Warframe. The GPU utilization and Power % both sit between 30-57% during a game. Sitting idle on the star map uses 97%+ GPU with 70% Power. What? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
esapto Posted January 9, 2014 Share Posted January 9, 2014 that's normal, during a mission the game actually uses the cpu for somthing which limits gpu usage and framerate. the starmap/menu only use the cpu for simple and basic stuff and that means your gpu is not limited in any way. compare in mission framerate vs starmap/menu framerate.a you'll see why gpu usage and power are that different. KCIV4 Posted January 19, 2014 Share Posted January 19, 2014 I also have the gtx 780 and my frames are not that great. try running a mission solo.When I run ANY mission solo i get 180+BUT THE SECOND 1 person joins my "squad" my frames drop by 40+ Per person. sucks ALOT.
