If you haven't learned about mods and modding that is the first place to I would suggest you start. Most veteran players will tell you to only use plat for slots or Orokin reactors/catalysts or for a color pallet if you must have as nearly all weapons/frames can be had from farming. Speaking of farming, there is a resource guide in the forum which will help you find any specific crafting material.
