Mission Select Animations Build Up During Alt+Tab

In the mission select screen (i.e, zoomed in on Sedna) if you have a mission that isn't unlocked, there is a nifty blue animation for it. There are also animations for invasions and infestation outbreaks.

 

If I alt+tab away and come back 10 minutes later, the screen freezes for a few seconds and the animations are really huge. Because it freezes more the longer I've been away I assume the idle animations have built up over the minutes.

 

I have a bad graphics card, and the few seconds of lag is hardly a problem anyway, but I thought you may want to know.
