HSAR
If I go to the buy platinum page right now, the 170 platinum option offers better value than the 370 base founder's pack. What gives? Here are the numbers to back me up, calculated on the paypal numbers as they have less of the surcharge insanity (nearly 25% of the purchase is surcharge? Pull the other one please). Prices are in GBP (the ludicrous exchange rates are another topic entirely). 370 Plat Founder's Pack / £17.10 = 21.6 plat per pound -- 170 Plat (Straight Buy) / £7.68 = 22.1 plat per pound 570 Plat (Straight Buy) / £23.09 = 24.7 plat per pound So you can clearly see that even without the bulk buy discount, at 170 platinum, we get a better deal just buying straight. What happened to "discounts on platinum"? Someone, please, tell me that I'm stupid and that I've missed something vital, because I do want to support the game; why does the game have to make it so hard for me? Davante
Platinum: 2100 Plat = $99.99 = 21 plat per dollar 1000 Plat = $49.99 = 20 plat per dollar 570 Plat = $29.99 = 19 plat per dollar 170 Plat = $9.99 = 17 plat per dollar 75 Plat = $4.99 = 15 plat per dollar Founder Package Grandmaster = 8875 Plat = $249.99 = 35.5 plat per dollar Master = 3210 Plat = $99.99 = 32.1 plat per dollar Hunter = 1220 Plat = $49.99 = 24.4 plat per dollar Disciple = 370 Plat = $19.99 = 18.5 plat per dollar Thus we can see on a purely plat based basis the best plat packages for your buck are as follows: Grandmaster = 8875 Plat = $249.99 = 35.5 plat per dollar Master = 3210 Plat = $99.99 = 32.1 plat per dollar Hunter = 1220 Plat = $49.99 = 24.4 plat per dollar 2100 Plat = $99.99 = 21 plat per dollar 1000 Plat = $49.99 = 20 plat per dollar 570 Plat = $29.99 = 19 plat per dollar Disciple = 370 = $19.99 = 18.5 plat per dollar 170 Plat = $9.99 = 17 plat per dollar 75 Plat = $4.99 = 15 plat per dollar However, it goes without saying that buying plat is more than pure theory. Reality dictates that not every price point is achievable for every gamer. By which I mean to say, by necessity or desire not every gamer is capable of paying for the best plat rate or for any plat for that matter. Also of note is the Excalibur Prime set with a value of $5-10. As always, it’s up to each gamer to work out their own budget and to stick to it religiously. Gamers can ill afford to forget what they can or can not spend per month on gaming. Note the US economy if you wish to understand the risk of overspending.
