Ogris: The Poor Man's Penta

If we increase the radius on the Ogris, can we lower the self-damage maybe? Haha I just forsee a lot of people killing themselves with bigger radius xD

It seems like the two weapons fulfil different rolls, the Ogris being a "destroy everything on the map" and the Penta being "aimed or strategically placed explosions".
That being said, they both have their own strengths and weaknesses.

I know that I'll always use an Ogris over Penta during any Defense, Mobile Defense, or Survival mission due to it's higher damage and radius.
It also works wonderfully with Heavy Caliber+Split Chamber. I nearly cried tears of happy happiness when I first tried it, you're able to safely blow up both halves of the map so long as you don't use it as a shotgun.

However, I'd prefer a Penta for any mission that involves running around through hallways or assassinating a boss target due to it's higher sustained damage in a smaller area. It's just safer and more forgiving while being less effective at clearing high level waves.

I think that both weapons are lovely investments, without one out-shadowing the other.

I ran a T3 defense today with a forma'd lvl 25 Ogris With about 8k blast damage. By the last few waves, most heavy enemies were taking 3-5 rockets. So no, it's not quite at the level of being overkill.

Considering the charge time Ogris should have around double the damage of Penta.

If Ogris' self-damage is removed, i'm sure people will switch from Penta to Ogris. (:
