I just thought about it when formating my LP for the third time

 

Split Chamber increases multishot % to 90, and it costs 15 energy to do so. Hell's Chamber increases pellet count by 120%, and costs 15 energy too

 

But then comes Barrel Diffusion, which costs 11 energy for 120%

Barrel Diffusion is one of the reasons that secondaries currently are better than primaries, and yet, it's easier to put it in a build than its counterparts

 

My suggestion is to make Split Chamber and Hell's Chamber costs 11 energy too, the decrease will not be that great in formated slots (8 => 6), but will make it so people trying to install them on weapon without attack polarity won't have to sacrifice half of their energy pool (a quarter of it if they installed a catalyst) just to get a boost lower/equal to the one Barrel Diffusion offers

The cost should reflect the usefulness. And with how RNG is in this game you can unload a clip with a rifle and never get 1 extra bullet. Believe it or not that happened to me with a crit build soma, fired off half a clip before I started getting crits.

 

Anyway~ I think Hell's chamber is good as it is because it works different than Split Chamber, Hell's Chamber adds that many more pellets to each shot where Split Chamber and Barrel Diffusion are simply a chance for 1 extra bullet, well unless you put Barrel Diffusion on a pocket shotgun which would explain it's high number.

 

I think Split Chamber would be good at 15 if it provided the same benefit as Hell's Chamber, or at the very least came up to 100%.
