My Warframe Idea Thread.

ok well I wanted to add another interesting warframe to think about. this warframe I call CopyCat.

This is a frame that isn't all that much on its own, but in a team of tennos who are different than it it can shine.

 

first power is called trace, whenever Copycat sees a tenno using a power using trace on a teammate using a power will store 1 power you don't normally have.

 

second power is called Mimic, when using mimic, you use the power you stored, and another thing the power you copy costs the same amount as what the power should cost. however is you use trace on another power you loose this power you banked replacing it with the new power you copied. also you cannot copy ultimate abilities.

 

Facade is a power that allows for a subtle infiltration where copycat turns into an enemy, when transformed as an enemy he or she cannot attack the enemies, but in exchange for not attacking enemies copycat, can bypass security cameras without triggering the alarms, they can also hack terminals without being shot at. it is useful in a team. if they kill an enemy when they are alone via a takedown stealth kill they can transform into that particular enemy. however if they start attacking an enemy when there are others around and they see the takedown then copycat breaks the masquerade and will get shot at. this should be the third power.

 

finally the final power, Doppleganger is copycats only unique move besides trace and Façade. its an assault move where the copycat creates anywhere from 1 to 4 clones depending on the rank of the ability mod. these clones will use what you are using and if you aren't carefull can get you killed. like if you have an explosive weapon on yourself. If you get hit your clones disappear. but these are clones that can actually attack enemies.

 

this was just a simple frame I though of, something to spice up our tenno selves.

err im not that great but Copycat is a catlike frame with armor that emphasizes on speed and silence, think elusive like a leopard, and fast like a cheetah. the helmet screams of being cat like and meant to illusionary projections same for the torso plate shoulder plates boots and gloves.

its clones has the same health as you and they can go down fast, but its a nice thing to have on your side when you're in a pinch. let them fight for you and run back behind cover and out of sight, to use façade. disappear and pick them off one by one. your clones generate far more threat by continuously firing and damaging the enemy.

yeah but you can't trace ultimate abilities, so players couldn't copy molecular prime anyways. that's why it wouldn't be overpowered.

a good idea for designing warframes is to balance the powers according to how its used and where it should fit in. trace and mimic are dependant on each other while façade is the bread and butter skill of Copycat. still trying to work on the fan art but im going to go through a lot of pages try to draw copycat.

 

theme is holographic projection for the façade and actual clones for doppleganger.

 

essentially Copycat was destined for mass production until it escaped from the foundry, being able to clone itself it ran away disappearing leaving its trail cold, cautious and curious, Copycat occasionally pops out on the radar only to vanish once again. a prototype to a future that never was meant to be.
