Fog + Lag On Void Missions

I seem to lag far more on any void mission, not an FPS drop but there is lag (not network related). Usually the Frame Time is high during the laggy parts and usually there are enemies when it lags.

 

Also this smoke, popped up on a few Defence Missions. In the screenshots below, even if you can see that my fps is decent it still lags sometimes and that number does not even represent that lag. 

 

It's weird because if you turn off Motion Blur and Depth of Field the fog disappears.

My brightness and contrast are only like 5-10% past the middle, hate how this game is sometimes WAAAAY too dark or WAAAAAAY to bright, I'd appreciate if you guys could somehow balance that random generation better.
