(PSN)cv3411
why is it that people choose prime warframe over their normal one regardless how prime version and normal version doesn't make that much differences? Because it is "prime" and something new to collect. Also some ppl may be in the notion that primes have a little bit better stats, which really isn't the case. And some just like the flashy design. Frostmire
It's because they are shinny and usually more good looking than their normal counterparts . They are like .... cosmestic items that can be obtained for free . And we all know that " cosmestic " and " free " are the words that Tennos love to hear Edited March 3, 2014 by Frostmire
evafan002
That's literally the entire gameplay purpose of Prime frames. They're "showoff"/"prestige" items by concept. As for stats, it's understandable that Primed weapons are better than their non-Prime counterparts, but the devs don't want Frames themselves to come in "tiers" (and, frankly, neither do most of the playerbase). Primes already benefit by receiving extra Energy when they blow up an Orb in the Void, although this is more of a gimmick than a factor that's relevant in inter-Frame balancing. They also get a nice new Polarity to play around with (again, something that users will enjoy while not acting as a balancing factor). Additional stats are unnecessary; Excal Prime's bonus Shield Recharge is already pushing it slightly. Primes are designed as flashier-looking sidegrades, and should stay that way. for the love of pete! that difference in stats on excal vs excal prime is so small that i actually think its down to a rounding error in the how the game displays the stats yet people keep bringing it up why? it literally has no effect on the recharge rate
